I dunno man. If Blizz signed a contract that established clear and concrete boundaries between the two races and that any breach of said contract would result in the immediate termination of the company I feel that I could let this slide.
Problem is I donât see em ever doing something like that so I feel like Iâm forced into taking the radical approach here.
Well maybe if we can deter Blizzard from heading into a the Cosmic War between Light and Void which nobody asked for OR cares about, and starts to focus upon the Azeroth and and the trouble within, which is arguably what World of Warcraft is about. Then maybe theyâll get around to adding High Elves as a Playable race for both Factions.
Agreed with this.
Except⌠Silvermoon city itself. Which is where I guess youâll be carrying out your âfantasiesâ.
True to an extent, but as we all know Blizzard tends to funnel players into the ânewâ place in every expansion. So even if you take the occasional detour into some old location, youâll still be spending 90% of your time in a more generic one if you want to actually take part in the current game.
Fair enough. But if Blizzard wanted you to be doing it now. They would have given it, to you already. If I were youâd Iâd be pushing for Content that supports the addition of a High Elf Race.
Donât be so so sure, tbh. Not too long ago, blue eyes and normal skin tones seemed like an impossibility. Frankly, itâs really strange that they neglected the hair.
Itâs all right, I guess. I think the one defining feature about the Void Elves that I like is the face option with the lipstick. But in terms of hair options, they all look so depressing to me. Even the grey/silver option looks really boring, just soulless.
Iâm all for turning into a tentacled freakshow when Iâm in combat, but when Iâm just idling about in town, I think itâs fair if I expect to be able to look nice. We even have a barbershop that letâs you change your sex, so I donât see why they couldnât dye the hair blonde, black or silver.
as long as proper high elves are not introduced, pretending to be a high elf while playing a VE is essentially like pretending to be a troll while playing a nightborne.
the racials are void centered, the voice effects are void corrupted, the silly/flirty emotes are void centered.
at least you can cover your hair with a helmet, but in no way you can bypass the voice and racials breaking the illusion.
you canât even play a paladin, a trope high elf class.
Speaking as someone from a RP server, we as role players Never use our fighting abilities while Roleplay. Thatâs something you do when you gear your character OOC.
So one can easily Roleplay a High elf, and in fact there are guilds like Azure Dawn that does it wonderfully. They also accept Void elves (blue skin) into their ranks, but in small numbers.
Not exactly. Paladin is more a Blood elf thing as the blood elves started it before the High elves did. The high elves we have today who can be Paladins learned it from Humans, and they are a very few bunch unlike Rangers and Mages which is more popular of the race.
Iâm not a roleplayer, but doesnât it ever happen to roleplay a mission when you have to fight some mobs? or just hunt rabbits to collect meat to cook a stew in the woods?
or defend the honour of a damsel with a duel?
wouldnât turning blue and sprouting tentacles be immersion breaking?.
Iâm not saying all HE are pallys, just that they have a good representation of pallys among them, like arathor, exactly due to their human mingling.
