Reminder: use up your catalyst charges for transmogs

well, I can make an educated guess that catalyst is gonna be “gone” once TWW hits - so don’t forget to use all the remaining, “useless” charges on your characters to mog any gear you can - once you start levelling your gear will be useless “Soon” so don’t worry about wrong stats for 1 day of levelling or something.
but if you ever will want to revisit DF and collect remaining mogs - ur job might be easier.

remember you can get 2 appearances out of 1 item. e.g. u have 480 suffused item - catalyze it - then upgrade with flightstones etc and u have both LFR and normal raid mog.

So basically if what you’re saying is true that Catalyst will be gone when TWW is released and bullions too, then what kind of transmog gear could we possibly get from the Dragonflight expansion since transmogs will be vendor locked?

For example, due to irl stuff I couldn’t do Dragonflight content and I barely managed to do much content late in the game therefore, I lost the majority of its content. Hence, why these currencies should stay in the game for people like me who joined late in the game and would like to re-visit the expansion either in the future or even after the TWW has been released.

Imagine.

Imagine the thing everyone is doing in WoW since forever - going to an old content raid and - well - getting the item from a boss u can solo, alternatively 2-3 man once you hit max level in tWW?

The precedence of Shadowlands (which is the only precedence we have) says that you are most likely incorrect.

If you go back to SL and run a raid, you can still use the creation catalyst on the gear, and are still capped on charges, with 1 /week regenerating, as anyone who has been farming SL mogs in Dragonflight can confirm.

Bouillion on the other hand, that you need to spend while you still can, because once TWW drops the DF raids will no longer be awakened, and teh vendors will most likely disappear just as they did at the end of shadowlands.

still, you are likely to sell / de catalyzable gear once you start levelling - so it’s a good time to dump the charges now

It’s not wrong to use them, don´t get me wrong.

But the catalyst as well as the charges will almost certainly not go away, either, and will still be there if you come back in patch 25.2 out of boredom :beers:

Once the season ends, you will have “infinite” uses for DF-Season4. Just like now you can use the catalyst indefinitely for items of previous Dragonflight seasons.

You can’t get the SL awakened currency anymore but the vendors are still there. I had one of the coins still in my bank and used it just a few weeks ago to get a transmog.

That’s not to say that the DF vendors will remain in place though, but i don’t see why they would need to remove them.

What’s the use for vendors to stay in the game if the currency currently used to purchase the items is going to be removed?

The vendors are only there because awakened is fated 2.0, as soon as awakened is over they will almost certainly disappear again, just like they werent there from DF launch -s3

None, and I personally assume that they will go away. But maybe Blizzard will surprise us and leave them up for stragglers… I don´t develop the game, so I don’t guarantee things that haven´t been clearly communicated, but rather leave the possibility open that it may turn out differently than I expect .

The question I have is why are you quoting me but then inserting someone else’s statement? 0.o

Yeah I guess you’re right. :slightly_smiling_face: Either way it doesn’t make any difference really.

Fixed! Sorry about that my mistake.

They have been in SL for the entirity of Dragonflight. They never went away.

Unless we are talking about different vendors. But the season 4 Dinar vendors stayed.

It’s unfortunate that the community voted the ugliest of the three tier sets for season 4.

But then again; it was the set I had the least of because I didn’t bother unlocking most of it in S1. I did get most of what I could get in S2 and 3. So there’s that.

The vendors have been in SL since they were introduced.

The currency isn’t removed, just the ability to obtain more of it.

I seem to recall the two of us having this same discussion about 4 or 5 weeks ago, and you went to check in Oribos and posted screens and I was surprised that they were up again and immediately spent teh dinar I had left on my druid for mog… but then we also realized that awakened is fated 2.0 and neither of us was really in oribos often enough to say 100% for sure… But ofc if they do stay up, all the better :beers:

No worries… I just replied on instinct and then thought" waitasec, i never said that to begin with…" and scrolled up 2 posts and found the quote on Raeve´s post and was wondering what happened there. :beers:

Well yeah you are right because people who have the currency will still be able to buy the items from the vendor but once they have used it all up then there’s no use for the vendor.

I know they were up because I spent my last dinar with them in the next expansion

Because I didn’t need to buy my bis weapon cos it dropped. I didn’t know what to spend it on and eventually went back and settled on a one hander appearance instead.

However, there is no guarantee that Blizzard will keep them up. We have had portals last years through new expansions then all get removed in a later expansion in a tidy up.

But it would be a shame to have people left with unspent dinars or bullions and nobody goes back to these old hubs much once they are no longer current content. So personally I don’t see the harm in them staying up.

Depends on how they’ll treat it, you can still get bonus rolls for other expansions for example, I personally hope they’ll take this approach and its still possible

Otherwise I imagine its a waiting game until the raids get added to the legacy roster

turns out I was onto something = people report vendors are gone :stuck_out_tongue: luckily I spent everything before the expac transition :stuck_out_tongue:
