Reminder: valor point gains from raid still at 4.3 content while we are on 4.0.x content

So, when are we getting our valor points properly back? It’s damn nonsense that I clear 13/13 hc on my alt with my guild but im still forced to do god damn boring random dungeons to be able to buy myself gear (set pieces etc.). Because guess what, 13/13 hc yields the same valor reward as running two random hc dungeons. That seems balanced.

A reasoning could be to retain some activity in Rhc.
Like a reason why many dungeon queues are so long while lvling is lack of population.

Would be even worse if you could get valor cap with 13/13 boss kills.

Ffxiv solves this issue with their dungeon roulettes, where you can queue into lvling content and still get the endgame currency. To keep good activity in all forms of content and lvls. So people who do story and need a trial killed, they don’t need to wait 50 minutes.

But a more likely explanation could be, they forgot/didn’t bother. Who knows.

Where is that? On our realm the HC and normal queue times are less than 7 minutes for Damage Dealer roles.

Sure, if you could get acceptable amounts of Valor from bosses, HC queue times would increase, but wouldn’t be more than in previous expansions.

Previous expans had reasons to queue atleast once for heroic.
Also didn’t have valor caps, so it didn’t need you to queue 5-6heroics for each char on every reset.

If you now got 1600 for 13/13kills, queues would be horrible.

Pyrewood, unless you’re tank i think for easiest, healer then is alright, but dps can be very long depending on where you are. Probably fastest at 15+, considering theres so many, but in more awkward levels like 30-50, 60-80, you’ll find alot less.
Many times aswell because you do not necessarily need to queue them.

But heroic queues are obviously fast considering you need to queue them, I did not comment on their current queue times, just that they will be horrible if they do implement what OP asks for.

If your doing 13/13 hc every week, what do you need valor points for anyways? You should have already gotten every piece you wanted from valor points weeks ago. Which, if you do all hcs, is probably just the 3 tier pieces at most.

Just give us Gamma etc dungeons later on and the dungeons will stay active for gearing up alts etc.

I’m comparing them to give a view on an issue that plagues all mmorpgs, that ffxiv did manage to fix. And was probably something Blizz tried to fix to…

You present it as a system that is better than what exists now. You are comparing.

I agree that 1600 vp for 13/13 clear would be a bit much. However, why not for hc content? How many people get to clear 13/13 HC every week?
Ok, fair enough to get fewer VP, say 70 per boss (which is still twice of what is now). I am ok to do 2-3 more HC dungs to get the full cap per week.

But spending 3-4 hours in the currently hardest pve content in the game and getting just something like 600 vp in total which is roughly 3 hc dungeons (= cca 1 hour spent and not even challenging). This system just feels super unfair and unrewarding.

Next point: it’s 8 weeks (or 7?) into the game. Even if you had 140 vp per boss, the new “alts” still need to run hcs as this doesnt earn you 13k vp (or whatever the cap is this week). So should be no issue with dungeon queues.
