Remix alt experience feedback

Generally I was looking forward to remix, I really enjoyed MOP Remix and regret not doing everything it had to offer.

I’m quite disappointed to find that blizzard hasn’t opted to let us just enjoy the experience of having overpowered characters on alts without committing to multiple grinds to get them there. The whole point of remix is that it’s a “fast paced” experience, but it’s only fast paced when you max your character, grind the stats but then you’re not able to benefit from that grind on alt characters.

Currently to me, taking the element of bronze aside for people who already have a lot of legion cosmetics / mounts unlocked, it barely even edges over standard retail as a “levelling event” owing to the XP buff we already have for max level characters (which we can’t use in remix I guess for obvious reasons).

It’s a shame, especially as there was a bit of uproar surrounding the fun element of remix when it was tested on PTR, the re-evaluated formula doesn’t seem to be fun either? or at the very least, is only fun after the grind post 80, by which point there’s little enjoyment. It feels like it’s been balanced like a genuine patch / expansion, which nobody really asked for and seems like it misses the mark.

All in all, I know it’s early days but it’s kind of disappointing so far. This isn’t the fun experience I envisioned it to be as someone who enjoys new takes on levelling characters, right now this is still a grind for no real reason.

I agree so far it has been a flop compared to mop remix. Mop was more friendlier there than it is on lemix.

I think this is a fair assessment. MoP remix was a winning formula. While I’m happy for blizzard to experiment, and even after this miss I still encourage them to experiment. But they do seem to have totally missed the core of what made MoP remix fun.
