Why, oh why, dear Blizzard, did you decide to make farming invasion such an essential part of being ready for “endgame” Naxxramas? It’s such a mind numbing and lazy thing to do, which instills absolutely zero fun for any involved. You have got to be better and more creative than that, I honestly feel offended that you want grown adults to spend their evenings with these types of events with huge raids standing afk just to get remnants to be able to play endgame content the way you designed it. Twenty years of WoW and I’ve never made a forum post, but this… this is simply too stupid and utterly a waste of anyone participatings time. Fix it.

this whole phase is riddled with stinky poo poo busybuddy timesink designs.
i can name 3 things off the bat.
kara daily lockout.
remnant farm (biggest problem being remnant reward amount vs. seal upgrade cost).
i was willing to accept the silly sanctified mechanic (which btw. breaks up all the fun set bonuses and invalidates all gear we’ve gathered up to this point in the game) but the remnant farm is over the line.
shoulder rune costs 5 argent dawn tokens, leading to nobody wanting to swap the rune around for a particular encounter, because its gonna cost 5 more to swap back to your “normal” rune, and eventually, you’re gonna run out of tokens if you do it too often, leading to more time sunk into farming more tokens.
additionally, we were promised these rune enchants could be stacked and that they would go in the keyring so as to not take up precious bag space… whoops, “that item doesn’t fit in that slot”.
i remember Zirene’s explanation being something along the lines of this system being used because it was “more streamlined” and “less confusing” than simply making a shoulder rune menu next to the existing row of runes specifically for the shoulder set bonus enchants.
Naxx is fun and all, but trying to raid on more than one character is a nightmare because the cost for seal upgrades takes up far more time than it has any right to… in addition to the time investment its just BORING so there’s that.
people are ready to throw in the towel and just quit over this, just FYI.
already had multiple complaints from people in my guild who only have 1 level 60 character (their one and only main raider character) making the remnant farm the worst thing ever, since they can’t log 2-3-4 characters to run around picking up multiple hearts of doom per crystal with.
thankfully, i myself have 3 lvl 60’s so the grind is much less tedious since i can just cheese the system and effectively get 3x the amount of remnant rewards per cleared crystal, but that kinda just points out further how bad the system, as it is currently designed, functions.
bro, you are timegating seal upgrades anyway.
just make it free and get rid of this trash time waste.
even as a no-life sweat player this isn’t something anyone has the time or the will to do, if not forced to in order to raid.
I also agree this remnant upgrades should be removed altogether or I even have a better idea - make the raid bosses award more even on normal. Like killing all bosses on normal should give you enough remnants for 1 rank. Then you can open 2 ranks per week, it’s fine, hardmode bosses should award enough for those 2 ranks. That’s the whole point right - to be able to upgrade your seal if you raid every reset? And not if you afk the whole day in EPL.
