Remote enqueue legitimacy

Hi.

Due to the queue length issue players use remote tools to enqueue a character from work. The tools could be different: Teamviewer/windows rdp/custom script tool/child.

It allows us to enter the queue from work and start playing after dinner.

One of my teammate was banned, I don’t know the reason but I saw a message from support: that says ‘… ban … teamviewer not allowed …’.

On the other hand, I found a Russian forum comment that says that it’s ok.

On the…another hand?..I’m not able to understand remote accessibility points in wow:c terms of use.

Is it possible to get the official Blizzard point about remote enqueuing? (Not remote playing/farming/whatever, just enqueuing)

No need for Blizzard to “confirm” anything. All you have to do is read the Terms of Service. It’s right there in black and white.

Section C, part ii, subsection 4
Section C, part v
Section C, part ix

All ban remote clients in one form or another, unless specifically authorized by Blizzard.

There are also clauses which ban account sharing (permitting anyone other than you personally to access or use your account), but I can’t locate that right now having just got out of bed and not yet caffeinated.

That said, while it is trivial for Blizzard to detect that you are queueing or playing via a remote client (teamspeak etc)…

It is actually impossible for them to detect WHO is sitting behind the keyboard.

Thanks for sharing the terms chapters.

It’s kinda sad.

Have a nice cup of coffee)

Heya,

Just want to add that we are not able to look into or discuss account related actions on the forum. If your teammate wants this looked into, ask him to have a look into the Appealing a Silence, Suspension, or Ban support article.

Have a few seconds to spare? Let me know how I’m doing!
