At least remove the restrictions during certain events to test it out come on!

There are many armor items that donât look at all like their type. Many looks are available across several armor types. And that is an old thing.
Just removing that restriction would be a slap in the face of people who invested vast sums into specific transmogs.
There is so much creative choice already, as it is.

Mail transmog herited from all leather transmog under level 40

Most of paladin gear looks like cloth robs (plate robs?), the same goes for shamans but its mail so it kinda works but not for plate wearers
We got cloth that looks like plate.
Leather that looks like plate.
Mail that looks like plate
And Plate that looks like cloth.

They will likely remove it in the future as another âbreak the emergency glassâ-case. Same happened with the newest transmog-rules.
