This is fake blue post, but we all want this. Augmentation make the game less fun for many reason. The design of this spec is wrong and Blizzard should rework that for a next expansion with another support spec if they still want to do that or just make the augmentation 80% own DPS 20% support.
Honestly, i wouldn’t mind if augmentation was a melee dps, like enhancement.
Even the name is similar.
I am not a big fan of this support thing.
Why would everyone want this? I for one, couldn’t give a crap about it. My progression and the keys I’m doing, requires players, and not classes. I will never take an evoker over a friend / someone I know, because evoker will give me more dps.
To put a TLDR, I couldn’t give a flying f*** about the meta. This season it’s an evoker, next season it’s gonna be druid. Whatever.
No we don’t want this. I am not a salty onetricker that im not wanted into content because people prefer an aug evoker over me.
As an experiment its successful having a support role that buffs other dps. What we want is blizzard to add more supports into the game.
Remove Aug and scrap until Microsoft all new classes and roles.
I wouldn’t mind if Enhancement is reworked into support, even the name makes sense.
I like the idea of reworking to a tank better. But either way, they need to be turned off until Blizz figures out how to solve this mess.
Aug is the biggest mistake to add, it makes harder to join as dps. You want 2 dps instead of 3 so less 1 dps. It is late now!
I like augmentation - I play it and I find it fun and it’s a twist on usual dps gameplay. Just add e.g. a second similar spec e.g. for mages like Infuser spec that does similar stuff and give enhancement a similar possibility with some talent points to enhance windfury even more so it’s more usual than not.

Either turn Augvoker into a tank, or turn a lot of dps specs into supports, and make clear distinction between “carry dps” and “support dps”. Like this it’s really horrible for the game overall

Enhance is one of the most fun dps specs in the game at the moment.
If they start making dps specs into support, i, and many others will be pissed.
Frankly speaking, augmentation evoker was a mistake. It has damaged the balance of the game, probably permanently, and frankly speaking, i would have rather gotten just a simple dps spec.
To do this properly blizzard would need to make a new role, and balance the whole game around this, this takes, time, time that i think would have been better spent on doing more content, and other things.
Playing support is not even fun. I wanna do the damage, not buff other people so they do damage.

No it’s not.
Go back in time on the forum and look at the post where ppl were talking about the bard class and such: TLDR is that a support class cannot work in 5 man groups. We all knew that in the past.
Problem is that a support class it’s either too good like now to be mandatory, or not good enough to be pointless to bring. The point where the bonuses provided equals another dps is a insanely thin line that is almost impossible to achieve. Just having one dps die during a fight is enough to make the equally powerful aug be worth less than another real dps.
Different things for raid, 1 aug spot can work for the whole group, but you cannot ban a spec from every other content except raiding.
The problem is, you’re clearly not thinking here.
This is the actual issue.
People seem to think that because it’s an opinion, and it’s subjective, that means that every opinion has the same value.
They don’t, some opinions are bad, poorly thought out, and others are better. Just because “it’s subjective” Doesn’t change this fact of reality.
Who made you the opinion evaluator?
What’s poorly thought out? That I want words to mean what they mean? Melee shamans can keep their moveset under a new name if they want to.
There are people who like the addition of support specs, you can’t invalidate them by saying “I don’t like them”.
Of course adding them shakes up the balance, but that will be fixed eventually. You just want a quick fix because you don’t care about playing them.
Evoker finally has a non-healer spec that people care about and all you can think of is that it needs to be gone?
I would not mind a shift into a tank spec but until then AuG better be left alone.
