Shaman needs to lose static field and lasso (also ele is the most braindead spec in existance and has been s tier for 6 years straight)
Also totems should be purely cosmetic and should have 0 impact in a game whatsoever. Additonally these totems should only be visible by the shaman himself.
Remove gouge and garrote silence from rogue and make kidney ATLEAST 30 sec cd.
Make clone dispelable and 4 sec duration
Remove blast wave and dragons breath
make coil and shadowfury a choice node
remove strangulate from DK
make all 24 cd kicks 4 sec lockout
make sp stun/silence a choice node
yeah thats probably not enough at all but a start.
good, let’s keep shield knocks from shaman, don’t forget to add another microroots for 1 seconds for warrior and make monk’s lighting knock baseline and no energy costs. Also dk should have 6 grips because they cannot have 100% uptime on arcane mage
3 seconds full kidney shot, finally warriors will be playable
Totems are a staple and class unique feature that should be on their own GCD, like Hunter Aspects were back in the day. Increase the cooldown of Grounding, though.
Higher skill cap.
Ele needs a rework. Lasso could be dispellable though.
Coil needs to be put on stun DR or make it breakable like it should.
Spammable casts are oppressive. Again, triple DR crap. At least Poly breaks instantly from AoE.
Kidney sits better at 25-30 sec cd, also make it 5 seconds max like it used to be.
You didn’t mention how good Disorient effects are, when they can be abused due to the high amount of damage required to break most of them.
Wouldnt it just be easier for Blizzard to have CC normalized around specs?
Say every caster has some type of Fear / Poly / Rep effect they need to cast.
Every spec has 1 instant CC like a stun.
Every melee gets another instant CC cause they dont got the castable CC.
And that’s all folks. 2-3 CC per spec.
Castable CC no CD, but you gotta cast it, it can be dispelled, breaks on DMG.
Instant CCs are like stuns that can’t be dispelled, have CDs.
This way to get a CC chain you actually need people to coordinate CC and not you have say a DK that can stun, into grip, into silence, into grip, into grip, into blind, into grip, kick at the very end and AMS to be immune. This is why we are having more and more spells / casters not cast at all and everything is becoming instant, cause a single DK if you actually need to cast can shut you down for 30+ secs.
The game might become a bit boring, but I think WoW needs a big restart and we need to work from the ground up, cause every single class and spec is getting extremely bloated and can do everything and some classes / specs are just left behind.
u mean, warrior for example, stormbolt, and fear? so like removing shockweave, buffing stormbolt to 1 sec longer , so he cant micro cc someone and prevent him from casting by using kick, into stormbolt. into schockweave?
Ele has not been S tier for 6 years straight, it is barely A tier atm.
Imagine complaining about Lasso, which is not only casted, but actually channeled in a world of the million mentioned interrupts and cc.
Imagine complaning about grounding totem which in fact it got nerfed over the years, it used to have a lower cd and a weak aura literally puts a giant icon above everyone when it is active.
If you get grounded on anything, you got outplayed, plain and simple.
The bit about the totems I don"t even understand, are you proposing buffs? Because it is year 2024 and a third of a class’s toolkit can be right clicked into uselessness.
You not mentioning monk here is suspicious.
Rest of the post is mostly drivel, except the DH part. Jesus christ you guys really want to turn this game into an even bigger PvE fiesta.
I hate the clone as much as the next person but with the exception of maaaybe shaving off the duration by 1 sec, you have to be truly ignorant to see the problems are modifiers on cast time and precog on balance and that stupid frenzy talent on feral, not the actual clone itself.
Like, imagine having cata classic (and soon MoP) and ranting about CC. It was so much worse before.
Clone would probably turn into a normal CC, dispellable, breaks on DMG like everything else. That way Blizzard could easily control the amount of CC and put power into dmg / healing / survivability.
Like playing Feral or even Boomkin in games where you can cyclone and can’t cyclone is night and day. When I meet a DK or DH I just wanna uninstall, I can try casting cyclone 10 times, if they are on me I probably won’t land a single one and do nothing all game.
When I can cyclone I sometimes feel like I control the whole game. This is an unfun playstyle for me and for sure for my enemies that can’t do anything all game.
Clone is probably the most powerful CC in the game. When used properly you can stop kills, stop heals, stop CDs like Ray from priest, stop Emerald, as a cherry on top you get free DMG as feral and a 15% reduced healing / dmg debuff after it ends. And the only way to outplay it is trinket or focus the druid all game. Clone is a problem and the talents around it making it stronger makes it an even bigger problem. The reason why for example Ferals can’t get any survivability all expansion is because it would allow more cyclone casts and that would make Feral broken.
There is a reason why the strongest comps for druids are those that allow druids to cyclone. The reason is cyclone and talents around it is OP.
