Your argument lacks a bit of sense, it’s not the worst change that was ever made, that is a bit exaggerating. But, in your second sentence, the community should not be listened to sometimes, why should they now? It’s a double edge sword, it can suck if it happens, on the other hand, live goes on and you can join queue in another 30 minutes.
Being kicked once from LFG shouldn’t have a penalty. Being kicked multiple times should.
Indeed… people make it sound like it’s a frequent problem when I find random kicks done so very rarely, there’s ALWAYS a reason for the kick like being AFK or a troll etc.
But I’ve suggested an amicable solution;
First kick gives a 30 minute warning, can immediately reque. Getting kicked again within those 30 minutes results in the 30 minute deserter debuff.
There should also be a cooldown for how often they could kick people. I remember leveling up a Resto Shaman during TWW pre-patch in a Stonecore Timewalking dungeon, and after the first boss a player got kicked for their DPS being too low. What was insane is that immediately after another player joined to take their place, they got kicked for zero reason seconds later. Like: what the heck?
Eh.
I lvled my hunter recently.
In one timewalking dungeon I zoned in to a healer was kicked because they had a long loading screen, is what I think. The kick reason was “DC”, they didn’t show as disconnected on my UI. I clicked no but they still got kicked.
Then another run the tank was kicked at the start for the same reason.
Idk why they could even kick them that early, I thought there was supposed to be a 3 min protection for being kicked?
i hope you learned your lesson, know your place dps.
Jokes aside you are staring the encounter, courtesy would be to wait for the tank
