Remove ElvUI starter auto-config

Hi,
After installing ElvUI addon for Classic, the starter helping windows showed up :
It told me “Please press the button /CVars/ in order to configure.” I clicked.
Then “Please press the button /Setup chat/ in order to configure.” I clicked.
Then I opened the ElVUI settings frame, and unchecked all the “enable” checkbox because I just wanted to change my macro text fonts.

Then I changed my mind and wanted to disable / uninstall / remove all trace of this ElvUI addon, so I did it (disabled, deleted folders in Addon folder, deleted the .lua files into the WTF folder.
But it seems that those buttons I clicked really changed my configuration in a deep way, because some things are still changed, for example the Chat shows class colors (which I don’t, and I don’t knows how to disable it in Classic), the Chat position got changed and reduced, it even created a “Loot” Chat frame on the right, my Player frame on the left-up corner got also changed (shows %hp on left and HP on right). And I’m pretty sure that a lot of other things were changed in the underground part, since I also clicked the /CVars/ Button.

Is there a simple way to cancel the auto-config of ElVUI ? I configurated too many addons and I’m getting tired, I don’t want to mess with defaults settings again and having to reconfig tons of things.

Pressing “Chat Default” in the Chat settings tab didn’t worked, I can still see the class colors.

Thanks in advance (and sorry for my english).

You can reset cvars with this command which will reset everything except mostly addon settings
/console cvar_default

Otherwise you can use the AdvancedInterfaceOptions cvar browser to see which cvars (marked in red) are different from the default

You can cancel the wizard and just select and/or copy your settings from an existing profile.

Thanks for your answers.

To Ketho :
I just used /console cvar_default command and I saw the interface scale changing and there are no more class colors in the chat, so that seems ok. But now I would like to know in which WoW folders those settings are saved, so I can make a copy of them like I do so time to time. Is it only the “config.wtf” file located in the WTF folder or are there more files to save ?

And what do you mean by “use the AdvancedInterfaceOptions cvar browser” ? Is it a Blizzard tab ? Or an ElVui tab ? Because like I say, I deleted all ElVui files, so do I need to install it again in order to see those red differences ?

To Elvenbane :
Which profiles are we talking about ? And how do we “cancel the wizard” ?
I guess I need to install ElVui again, to access the features you’re talking about ?
I’d love it if you could precisly tell me the exact proceeding, the method to follow, for example in which tab it is etc… I’m kind of lost with this addon, that’s why I unistalled it, and my english is not that good when it comes to technical vocabulary.

Thanks again to both of you.

The CVar Browser can be found under Interface > Addons > AdvancedInterfaceOptions > CVar Browser

If you want a setup similar to the Default UI my import strings are here:

They’re built for Retail but you should be able to use them on Classic.

You can import them via /ec > Profiles > Import Profile
Then select them via /ec > Profiles > Existing Profile OR Enabled Spec Profiles and pick the profile for each spec

Thanks, I will check this AdvancedInterfaceOptions addon, but I’m a little bit scared that the same thing would happen with this one  Is it sure that after I’m done checking, and decide to disable the advancedinterfaceoptions addon, it wont do any impact on my game ?
Because I hate addons which modify game or even deep files without proposed any kind of “back to normal” feature when disabling it. Since I don’t really know which files to save, I’m scared I’d lose something important.

AIO just gives you access to CVars, doesn’t change them automatically.

All your client-side settings are stored in the WTF folder. Back the whole thing up regularly.
