This affix is literal crap, it’s unfun, it’s disruptive, and it synergizes really badly with other existing affixes.
Overall id give it a 0/10, this is my most disliked affix in the game at the moment.
You removed teeming in the past for reasons, but kept explosive? What exactly is the thought process here?
Is it about fun? Explosive is not fun, what is it about then?

This is about the intrinsic unfun factor of explosive.
It’s not just about added difficulty.
I always get arguments like this, you criticize something, and people immediately wanna show off how much of a better player they are, because surpassing badly designed mechanics is somehow an achievement.

There’s nothing bad about explosive. It’s just people being bad and expecting one player to handle all the explosives or pulling too much so they can’t kill explosives.

It brings additional challenge in the form of making you not smooth brain your damage rotation into an aoe pack.

How does it differ from other affixes that also make you think about pulls, but in a less annoying way?
Like bursting, or bolstering etc…
The answer is it doesn’t, because there is nothing intrinsically fun with explosives. You could argue that it teaches you about priority targets, but we already have that in the forms of particularly powerful mobs, or mobs that do something that must be dealt with.
Explosives is not fine. It’s anti fun. i don’t give a damn about how hard it is, m+ is already an infinitely scaling system, you could make it as hard as you want even without a single affix. So if there is an affix that makes the gameplay worse, i want it REMOVED from the game.
They have 1k HP, and a single moonfire/instant will delete them. It’s not a huge deal. However, certain mobs are spawning far too many in one go, which I think should be looked into.
It doesn’t make game play worse though.

Compared to the other affixes, this is one of the rare ones that actually affects dps players. The others are all tank & healer stuff. So yes, it’ll suck (for dps) this week. But it’s fine. It’s one week. Do the bare minimum for your weekly chest and take a break 
neah exploisive is decent. just people who blow cd-es and cry they cant aoe the explosive are complaining.,. instead of just. 1 hiting the explosive then go bk to ure rotation
I have to disagree with that.
The point that “this is one of the rare affixes that affects dps player” Is just false.
Sure, there are some affixes that are more targeted to healers or tanks, but in general it’s pretty evenly spread.
The only real outlier i can think of is grievous. That’s basically it. But even as a dps you can do a lot of things to mitigate that.
I just tab to them most of the time.
Guess what, i also do that.
I still think it’s terrible.
