Seriously. Our Hereoes are mingling like they’re besties. In the latest Audio Books we hear how half the Horde Leadership is casually visiting Boralus.
Yet, I can’t do Quests or Dungeons with my Friends, because we’re of opposite factions and supposedly are enemies!
The Faction Barriers needs to go! Let us freaking play together… Especially those of us who are on servers with massive faction disadvantages. I see hundreds of other players running around me, doing the same content, same quests, speaking together. But I can’t be a part of it, because I play the wrong faction. So I just get to read nonsense chat, and feel like I’m being excluded in a game that is supposedly all about Playing Together.
It also really didn’t help that Blizzard took one of our most Popular Races and made it Available to the Alliance, leading to even more Players we can’t play with.
I used to have a bunch of friends I played with, but the second they had the option to join the bigger faction, which has more people and oppotunities, the of course took it in a heartbeat. And now I’m left on Horde, because no Undeads for Alliance.
How about a reason as to why it should stay up? What does the game gain from having the Faction barrier? Compared to how much it would gain, by allowing people to play together with their friends without having to be forced into playing a Race they won’t enjoy.
gameplay wise there is no benefits to keeping the faction barriers. It just leads to people being able to play less with each other.
Lorewise and stuff though? It matters allot.
I don’t see why blizzard cant do something similar to what ESO has done. Where all pve is cross faction. But PVP content is faction based.
I mean in the lore and such anyway. Horde and alliance always band together to defeat the big bads anyway.
Remove the faction barrier. Queue times would be so much more faster and reliable. And when you sign up for groups you could actually whisper curve cross-faction on alts that does not have rio progress yet, because usually it’s often a decline despite that you write a note to the signup.
Void Elves was one of the biggest proofs that the Faction Barrier does nothing, but hinder players from playing the way they want.
As soon as Blood Elves players had a chance to play their Blood Elves as Alliance, they didn’t even think twice before transfering. We basically only have Blood Elf paladins left, because they can’t transfer.
