...it is. Should this make it like it never happend? Dont think so. A mistake is a mistake even if you said sorry.

haha man chill with that passive aggressive, i am not saying you're wrong or anything, this is a thread and were just discussing this.
i apologize :) its getting quite hard not to be agressive nowadays.
I just want GCD gone from defensives and movement abilities.

Dmg increasing CDs should also be off the GCD, but this is not as important as DCDs and movements.

For example, during a fight, using wratih walk on DK to close some gap, or feint on rogue to get out of AoE: we already run while waiting for the GCD to come off to be able to use them; when the GCD finally comes off, we've already moved halfway or more to our destination, so at that point it's often wasteful to even use them. Not fun.
even my battle shout is on GCD ahahaah blizzard are so !@#$ing dumb its unreal

Speak for yourself. I like the GCD.

Aside from all the issues with macros the GCD fixes, it also slows down the pace of the game. That is a good thing.

FFXIV is good if you like that.

I have the reaction times of a wet doily and have never found the pace of combat to be anything but just right until they made the GCD changes. They are extremely unpopular. WoW has always been used in the MMO scene as an example of fluid and responsive combat. I wish they hadn't changed it.

Having said that, since the peeps who disagree with the way the game is going are unsubbing by and large, I'm sure the people left won't mind it. My sub runs out in hours.
Remove GCD.
When a GCD is supposed to happen, replace it with temporary dmg reduction on all abilities.
If you're in a flow, you're completely into your 'rotation' (if there's such a thing) and BOOMM you hit a GCD brickwall, you literally can't do anything, searching for a button that hasn't got a cooldown.. where is it !!! aargghhh..

Why not a temporary dmg reduction on everything, you can keep going.
I rather do less dmg and have no GCD instead of doing a lot of dmg, but have to pause for a few seconds.
A few seconds might not seem that much, but when you're in a fight its alot !

Imagine a martial arts fighter doing his thing and suddenly he stands still, doing nothing (unless he's dead then he's on the biggest GCD he's ever seen).

Why not a reduction in dmg and remove GCD entirely. If I'm to good and doing too much dps then why not make a temporary debuff that reduces my dmg, but I can continue fighting or shooting or whatever it is.
Ye, they made it so combat would be slower and more paced out, in reality is still really fast and bursty and having GCD annoying the living crap of players on top of it, its just not fun and not helping. Was much more smooth in Legion even if burst got a bit out of control.

I guess OP want remove GCD on specific abilities like it was in legion? Sinxe GCD was here from start of the game.
Just make it as it was.... in legion,
fighting is so damn boring compared to last expansion that even raids are now boring for me ;(

I would like to repeat myself in a bigger thread just for the sake of my hope that blizzard will read it one day.

I played A LOT in Legion, I was pretty good, doing M raids, lots of M+. I didn’t want to play BFA just because of this stupid change. Now I tried it, played for ~2 months and just made sure how right I was that it is stupid.

I stopped playing recently because of GCD+MasterLootRemoval.

So, getting to the point:
I rewatched Q&A from 26th April with Ion Hazzikostas. Where he said “Stop saying revert this stupid GCD change” and “Start saying I don’t like this little moment about my class”

So! Ian gave an example of a RestoDruid doing a dungeon and got in this situation:
-Tank is at ~10%
-I’m as a druid healer at 50%
-I got fire at my feet just now
What do I do?
The answer is pretty simple for a skilled player: Of course you heal Tank with your best heal and then doing the rest, you can also press your defensives since they’re not GCD touched.

1.HOLY

So I’m gonna tell my example:
-I’m a holy paladin, doing M+
-My Tank just got at ~10% and WILL DIE WITHIN ~2 SECONDS.
What do I do?
-One Flash heal probably won’t finish it’s cast and Tank will die
-One Holy Shock won’t be enough to keep Tank alive
-Pressing Avenging Wrath/Holy Avenger and then Holy Shock will take 2 GCDs

What would I do in Legion? I would take 3rd choice all the time because AW and HA wasn’t on GCD. But now is BFA and Avenging Wrath and Holy Avenger are on GCD. I’m just being stuck in situation that I can’t do anything to prevent death of tank.

2.PROTECTION

HotP/LotP

Let’s say I’m doing M+ with only one Ranged and his interrupt in on CD and there’s a mob 20-30 yards away from the group that casting “Big Scary Cast dangerous to all group”.
So I’m throwing Avenger’s Shield to interrupt it(Doing my job basically) and at the same time mobs that were next to me got me low at ~10%.

All my instincts yell to press HotP but I can’t do it 'cause I’m in middle of GCD.

I’m basically dead because I did everything right. It’s disgusting.

PLEASE BLUES READ IT, REVERT GCD CHANGE COMPLETELY AS IT WAS IN LEGION.

Lay on Hands.

Depending on incoming damage type Blessing of Protection (then a taunt back). The tank can also use a defensive.

You’re not a super hero and dont do the job of every role. If you can then great but it’s not expected.

Badly contrived examples. Good examples of bad team work.

HOLY -10 min solution for such common situation. “Bad example” Are you mental?
PROT -Stand beside mobs that hitting and look at your HP, waiting to drop low enough to press LotP instead of doing normal rotation including “Damage Buttons” is no fun/cut of gameplay.

Here you go, good examples

Yeah right - imagine how OP some abilities would be without a GCD. Arcane Explosion springs to mind.

You forgot “Get off mah lawn.”

I REALLY do think the vast vast majority of people complaining about the GCD changes (on offensive abilities) are just parroting what the highest-end mythic raiders say, without understanding why it only ‘effects’ them (when in fact the reality is everyone is subject to it so it’s not a nerf).

The ‘inferior gameplay’ argument also is extremely weak, because the vast majority of abilities we use every few seconds are, should and will always be on the GCD. In the end having to put up with just one more every minute or two cannot possibly said to be game breaking, and those that do are lying, or again just repeating the also flawed argument of mythic raiders for the same reason.

“Oh it ‘feels’ bad to press Wrecklessness and to have to wait a second and half to then start making use of it” Rubbish, there have always been abilities that buff damage for so long that were on the GCD (such as attacks). No one ever complained then, and indeed those were often on much shorter CDs.

Now defensive and movement abilities are a different argument, because it IS frustrating if a mob casts an ability you need to move out of - that is random say and couldn’t have been predicted - immediately after using an offensive and as such you have to wait 1.5-ish seconds to be able to use said abilities.

I myself find the GCD frustrating at times, but I can see how these changes make almost no difference. The point that Blizzard make about wanting animations to play out is actually valid as well, because this is a VISUAL GAME EXPERIENCE not a bloody stat simulator.

You conveniently missed where I said the tank should use their cooldowns and a healers job is to heal primarily. You can also precast so that it lands when they take the damage. ‘Wings’ has a cooldown too so can’t be used all the time.

Exactly. People dont realise what they are asking for. Some cooldowns where put on the global but quite a few have no idea what the global is so we have backwards threads like this.

I notice it myself on my fury warrior but I’m a little happier now that charge is off the cooldown. Mass hysteria over it is embarrassing.

Lots of haste will still not fix what’s wrong about the GCD.

It doesn’t matter if I’m haste capped, hitting Recklessness and then waiting for the longest second of my life to actually start hitting something is and feels terrible.

GCD and pruning, BfA’s biggest plague to this game.
Or is it the developers ?

After 5 months it’s still a little fresh, but a necro is a necro.

Never get used to bad stuff, they pull you downwards.

Didn’t take that out awhile ago tho?
