This subject is brought up now because they are reworking affixes already in SL
The healers I play with have no problem dealing with it. I play DPS and I’m tanking at 2,8k score, never had an issue with a healer not being able to top people up.
they’re not going to change anything for bfa, its done.
plus grievous isn’t that bad, it’s a 50:50 between you are a bad healer, or the tank is a bad tank and it’s overpulling for the group he has.
If there are affixes that need to go, It’s bursting and bolstering. They are literally anti-fun affixes.
Some specs like resto druid make it nonexistent of course.
Try with disco priest
Blizzard should remake Grievous, not delete it.
It’s an interesting affix, something for healers to care about as well as DPS.
For instance, if you die and release with less than 80% heal you should not gain stacks the moment you get in-combat without touching a mob.
Stacks should be gain by health percentage in my opinion; if you’re below 90% you gain one stack, below 70% you gain two stacks, etc.
Bolstering is easy just dps need to learn how to kill all close to each other and not just mindless aoe.
In fact both good for dps
Pulling packs diablo style is the fun in dungeons. Bolstering and bursting prevents that. They’re just tedious affixes.
Then wait till you hear how your aoe got capped to 5 in SL
Grievous punishes bad healers.
Healers that afk while people have 1 stack will get overwhelmed, healers that actually fill people asap have it easy.
That said, I do think it is a stupid affix, it adds no flavour to the dungeon besides making losing health more punishing.

In Legion it was manageable now it is difficult and I cannot pinpoint the exact rootcause. Is it everyone having high HP or is it how Atonement is so weak in dungeons.
I would rather see explosives go.
I played disc in s2, disc is abit harder in that you need to know how to prepare correctly, if the fight ends and u let everybody at 50% with 4 stacks ofcourse it will be difficult.
I reckon now, with corruptions its much more easier.
I mean people should be liberally using health pots and self heals below 90% hp so healer can focus on tank grevious weeks.
I think explosives should just be reworked.
My idea for cool explosives would be :-
1- More consistent explosives, as in no pulling 4 packs but get 1984124891 explosives while pulling 20 packs but get zero to none, the rng is just too much.
2- Different types of explosives with some being beneficial
a) fiery explosive : the usual, explodes and deals damage to grp.
b) green explosive : heals the mobs and players
c) red explosive : buffs the damage of mobs and players
d) void explosives : applies a healing absorb debuff on players and mobs
h) fiery green explosives : appliees dot to players
g) pink explosives : heals players only
i) blue explosves : buffs player damage only
j) black explosives : deals massive damage
k) ice explosives : massive slow and small damage
This imo, would make explosives much more fun to deal with and give players incentive to think about them, some of them are good, some of them can potential be good, some of them are deadly etc.
