Remove Hearthbeat from the game

Blind breaking solo, Sheep in PvE breaking solo for no reason.

Very nice game mechanic by the way. Require lot of skill to constantly spam Sheep in PvE even if the target is already sheep, this sound bad.

Do you think we are playing Hello Kitty Online ? People expect high standard for WoW Classic, what is the purpose of this RNG ? Make player feel bad ? For what reason ?

Oh and obviously this 14-18s window for DR reset is a very good idea to, make it random so people can’t predict what happen.

There’s absolutely no incentive to have hearthbeat in PvE and PvP, and dynamic DR for PvP is the same issue. It add a layer of RNG, make people angry at you "Why you don’t Sheep ? Why break CC ? ". I Sheep, but thanks to Blizzard It randomly break without any prediction possible. Every tickrate of CC (at least Sheep and Blind are already proved to have heartbeath), there’s a chance it break solo.

Use static DR and remove heartbeat, all private server did that. There’s a reason for that, TBC is already filled with RNG (crit, proc, chance to, resist, miss, parry, dodge, …) so why add another extra layer ?

Even the Rank #1 player in TBC (Mir) tell Blizzard on Twitter to change that : https://twitter.com/mirlolxd/status/1432734000070729737

This isn’t retail, get over it

Actually, there is. It requires you to pay more attention, and be able to adapt quickly to unexpected/unwanted situations. In other words, it requires you to git gud.

The reason being that they didn’t really want to play TBC in the first place.

What does he mean with hearthbeat? Is this just something i never noticed?

Heartbeat is like an internal proc every few secs or so to make things like sheep / fear break early

what it actually means is you play the situation correctly and get crowd control, then it randomly breaks and you get punished for correct play

I think this is the reason OP wants it removed (among others listed) people not even knowing of its existence and making false assumptions of breaking CC.

Heartbeat is part of TBC experience and people just need l2p around it.

No. You get punished for incorrect play in your example. If the CC beaks you need to reapply it and deal with the changed positioning. (Focus cast sheep macro is so easy to write)

how is it incorrect play if you make a correct setup without getting CC’d/kicked in return and then just as you are about to take advantage of it, the cc breaks by no fault of anyone in the game and you get interrupted on your go as a result?

makes no sense.

Are we talking PvE or PvP here? Because it’s super easy in PvE and really PvP with almost no DR on any CC is “who cares”.

Okay sorry if there was a misunderstanding here, I was mainly responding to the OP with PvP in mind, more so looking at it from Arena pov.

removing heartbeat? lol are you crazy? as if mage/rogue don’t have it easy enough already.

just googled that, seems fun game & Now i’m Quitting wow for hello kitty online!

No. What it means is that you don’t always know what the correct play is up front. That’s literally what many PvPers have been telling PvEers is making PvP superior to scripted PvE.

Random RNG screwing you over is not what PvPers mean when they say that. Like at all.

if there wasn’t random RNG to sap, sheep etc. those would be abilities people would use to secure wins without a worry.
do you know how much it sucks not being able to just do a 1.5 sec cast (unhasted) and just being able to ignore your opponent for the next 10 seconds? of course there needs to be an RNG chance for it to break for it to be fair on those who are affected by that BS… get the f outta here.

Right, why don’t we go ahead and make every other long CC break on RNG as well then just to be consistent? like those 13 second traps that are oh so unfair grr

funny you should say that, because frost trap is also affected by heartbeat mechanic. only the freezing trap is not because its an AOE effect.

You wouldn’t like the razuvious encounter in naxxramas
