I literally cannot count how many times i get rejected from getting into a group because the group leader “feels safer with extra interrupt” or straight up thinks that without resto shaman interrupt the dungeon is unplayable. Having one healer with interrupt without adding it to other healers kit is extremely toxic to the game and m+ gameplay. I see only two ways Blizzard could solve this, add interrupt to other healers kit or remove interrupt from resto shaman.
I bet it’s not about the interupt. Shams are only op in all the things they do this season. Insane vesper dmg, blood lust, etc. Need a heavy nerf or other healers a big increase in dmg
with resto shaman in grp u open up for so many more comps.
Only way u can fix it sadly is to go meta. and roll shaman. i doubt they remove it from saman.
and before 9.1.5 shamans were rejecting by group leaders coz holy palas were making more damage. in wow every class have own turn.
In bfa and legion shaman also had this very same interrupt. Still never allowed to get in any pug. I think it is not about the interrupt… The current meta with prot pala, rogue, windwalker and mage really does not need that extra shaman interrupt.
Your argument holds little to no grounds its actually ridiculous.
Back when druids were meta, they had CR, vortex, push, high dps, move speed, invis, maul etc.
Back when Hpala was meta, they had damage reduction, disorient, super heals, insane dps, bubble, bop and freedom.
Back then, shaman players had their interrupts too, I didn’t see anyone prefering them over glimmerdins or druids?
Yes they can do that but they will still pick shaman
and you know why?
because we have BLOODLUST
BRUH
Shaman was terrible in BFA, my then guild leader rerolled a tank rather than continue with it.
It would be nice though if they could find some way of actually balancing classes though, druid seems to be the best bet for someone who never wants to reroll, always seems to be OP in at least one of its specs.
You want to change resto shaman after 17 years because you can not get into a group i am shocked i mean you are timing 25’s and 10/10 mythic.
Resto shaman from Legion to season 1 SL were shunned constantly for groups because druids were kings/queens and who needed hero when you have drums and mages and hunters.
I mean for 2 expacs everyone hated shamans i mean sure give others interupts but dont remove a core thing from them.
Stop pugging. Problem solved.
I love this line of thinking, removing a fun aspect of a class just to please people or balance it seems like a ridiculous idea.
I’d rather they buff / give something niche to the underperformers instead.
Exactly my thoughts are always buff others never nerf or remove from classes makes it fun for everyone then.
Why removing the interrupt from resto shaman? Why not give priest an interrupt? On a low cd ofc
Some classes have twice more interrupts than other classes (whether you count it by cooldown or other pseudo interrupts) if not more.
Why do not those become picks?
Why not make every class interrupt same range, same effect, same cooldown, same duration?
Wouldn’t that be boring?
Is shaman actually best for M+?
I’d argue interrupt is more crucial for PvP than for M+ and yet Shaman isn’t the only pick. Probably not even the strongest pick.
I think not being chosen once doesn’t really show whole picture.
i doubt people pick resto shamans only for their interrupt. the main reason remains their damage output and the way their healing/mastery works.
interrupt is just a bonus in some situations like spires where dps can focus on other stuff rather than interrupting goliaths or whatever.
I would appreciate if monk healers had their (melee) interrupt back, maybe paladins too. But somehow shaman healers got to keep their 30 units of length interrupt on a 12 seconds cooldown.
Or 60 units of your length!
Pretty sure I’m not half of 0.9144 meters (which would be 0.4572 meters, or exactly half the unit that’s slightly shorter than a meter used in that backwards non-metric system)
Who picks a resto shammy for m+ because they have a kick
I don’t care about there amazing, easy ranged DPS nonono, gimme that juicy kick!
