Remove quest items from minimap?

Anyone else feels they should remove the quest items from the minimap? A circle to search in is alright, but an exact location of the item ruins it for me. I like to search for things sometimes, it makes te gameplay more enjoyable in my opinion. Any one else feels like this? (not watching is not an option, and you know it :wink: )

Or is there an add-on or setting to remove this?

Oh, I believe it is actually possible to turn it off?

I am not home right now though, so cannot log in and check how, but I am almost positive, that itĀ“s possible without add-ons! But perhaps an add-on to block it would be nice too, so you are not tempted in a weak moment :wink:

I agree, the time where we had to search for things and really immerse into the world are sadly a part of the past in many games.

Did you check under your minimap, when you click that magnifying glass, the list that appears, is there not anything called ā€œTrack Quest, something somethingā€?

I know that on the large map, the option ā€œTrack Quest Objectives, something somethingā€ is there at least?

Edit. Did you ever hear of the add-on called ImmersiveFade, by the way? A tad unrelated, but it can make your UI fade completely away, and if you are the kind of player who enjoys exploring and taking your time, this might be a good match :slight_smile:

I see that you can turn off quest POI, wich disables the quest fully from te map. I also see focus target, gonna try this one out.

Well, I tested it out. Itā€™s not quite te solution yet. Cuz it deletes the blue circle, but not the big yellow button wich says: here it is. I have no problems with the circle, but with the exact location to find the object/boss, I do.

Twitch app voor mac also broken, so have to wait till I can test some addons :frowning:

Aw, alright, I see. Shoot! Hm. Thinking, thinking. If you are completely throwing yourself into max immersion, how about getting an addon that hides your minimap? Or fades it away? Would that be a way around it? :slight_smile:

Think itā€™s a hard wish. I donā€™t want max immersion, I just donā€™t want to know where te book lies if I need to find a bookā€¦ instead of a glowing item right in front of youā€™re nose. I have been paying attention tho, seems to differ per quest. Guess I have to accept this one :wink:

PS: I Use action cam to zoom in inside houses automatically and fade the UI away, this add-on is really amazing.

Oh, I see. So itĀ“s the Outlined mode too, perhaps?

Nope, it gives sparkles when disabled, so outline mode is the better option there :stuck_out_tongue: I think I will use outline on and minimap off. (and big map on) Letā€™s see what it brings.
