People like m+ me included, but that doesn’t mean it’s perfect.
Again, if you socialized you got 4 more keys available.
Keys didnt downgrade at the beginning of M+ in Legion. They depleted. This meant you kept the same key. Needed to time, without getting loot, to undeplete the key again into a normal key.
I think people here are totally accepting a middleground. Like when you get less than 5% over the timer the key will not downgrade. Or give a key 2 charges.
But also people are against doing 1 pull, checking people’s dps, kick lowest, reset key, invite 1 new player. And this 10 times in a row before you go to pull 2. It will be a very terrible situation.
Im fine with a middle ground.
That’s an actual really good point though, i did not think of that, it could lead to people just doing 1 pull and kicking, since there is no punishment for it.
I think a charge system would be the best were you can deplete the key up to 2 times at max and keep the same level, so you can’t just kick and reset willy nilly, but at the same time, if you fail the key you are not overly punished.
About the legion thing, i frankly did not remember, i think it was changed very early on, but that seems terrible to be honest, it’s not even close to what i suggested though.
Take note: this is how you actually construct an argument, the reason why i rejected your stuff before is because you made no real argument. Unlike Tsjoh.
You could put in a small cooldown to try prevent people doing that.
For example there is a 10 minute cooldown to use your key again at the same level or you can lower it by one and use it instantly.
It has to be long enough to be punishing, but not so long that you cannot get around it and have to wait for your key to go off cd.
Id say about 30 min to 40. The timer could vary slightly between dungeons, so shorter dungeons also get a shorter cd. But that’s also a good idea.
You’re gonna take anywhere from 15 to 30 min on average to complete a M+ run on average, that leaves about 15 to no cd to make group and get into another one, at the same time, if you do 1 pull and immediately kick, that’s like 30 min+ of waiting. Which is not a short time, especially since it doesn’t guarantee that you will find a suitable replacement.
Although i also don’t really wanna punish players too much for removing low performers, some people are just way too bad, a kick sometimes is more than justified. So i think the charge could be better, so you have 2 chances.
That’s true.
About your topic now.The PUG option is there as an option. So i think Blizzard (and the community) suggests having people who play well and you trust instead of randoms who may be fine or not.
This matter has been posted several times so far.I doubt it will change .
Imagine the key holder having no downgrade at all.I don’t see a point sorry.
M+ is created for coordinated groups. It is very difficult. It is that you do not die instant in a +2 by doing stuff wrong. But from a certain moment when 1 low performing is going to cost you the key, you probably want to have your network settled. With a guild, or with communities, or with adding friends to your list. So you can play with known players. When a low performing is not yet costing you the key, then just so be it.
Also… it just happens keys go up and down. A key that goes down is not a big deal at all.
Yea, generally it’s not 1 low performer that costs you the key, unless it’s tank or healer.
But a really good dps can make up for lack in dps from the other 2, or if the heal or tank is not exactly up to par, but not too bad either.
If the tank or heal is complete garbage though, especially the tank, it’s basically unrecoverable.
LOL. It takes years already to find 2 for proper 3v3 setup. WoW socialization is dead. There is nobody anywhere to be found. Also random Discord is not cutting it either.
You also waste your time. Thats another punishment too.
Get better at timing your keys if you don’t want them to downgrade.
What profound knowledge, do you have anything else to add? Please bless us with your wisdom.
If they keep dying to mechanics it can
