Well, he is not wrong tho.

Gdkp gone
Botting gone
Gold buying gone

Capping trading to 250g would indeed solve alot of problems some have with the game right now.

I would vote for it.

Nah… Just remove master loot. Classic content is not that hard. Guilds can raid with personal loot just fine and still beat the content without feeding loot to specific class/person. Without GDKPs and raid item sales there will be no real need for buying gold.

Edit: Removing trade is not enough for botting. They will use AH posts.

Damn, that was easy.

Yeah trading someone 10 times to pay for an item seems like real fun and it also is much safer to protect against scammers… oh wait

Yes, also ban trade with the vendors, class and skill trainers. It’s time you learn to do things yourself instead of npc’s doing things for you.

Obsly it’s capped by an hour or more.
I would rather argue that items like gems would be traded instead of gold.

Wts ulduar HARDMODE ticket join us on discord and leave your offer.

Okay I’ll trade you 2 loops of infinite power for a SWP boost here I get all gear

I think they would change gold to in-game reagents that are very pricey and then use those as tokens amongst each other. Like the Hula-Girl from the vendor that’s 100 gold each, but then something that stacks.

Carries would be solt via direct RMT on shady sites. Be it master loot awarding or even personal loot distribution.

Will be like in Diablo III when players themselves will use bots to make em illegaly farm materials 24/7

Same as point above. People would use gold farming bots.

Why not make uable only when buying from NPCs then? Oh we go Diablo III route again, that didn’t worked out.

What will be gone would be incentive to trade or to level up proffesions and with it the #nochanges crowd and the rest of the players will riot and leave the Classic project.

Thats why populist desidions are often illogical. You think you know, but you don’t.

Yeah if you want to be a crook, you can anyway. But by making it much harder you soften the results. We want to find a way making things better. The current state of the game sucks big time.

This state is programmed by Blizzard to push WoW token further on. I do not belive they do not have the data of sudden character gold incomes. I do not belive they have no red flags about rogues running endless BRD chest runs or pickpocketing mobs, Mages farming 24/7 e.t.c.
Even steam games have bots just look at their graph showing players never leaving below of 40-50% even during night’s. An indication that at least 30% of playerbase in most games are bots and banning them all is a revenue loss for any marketing manager.

You can’t fight it unless Blizzard deside it is time to print gold themselves (nobody knows if gold sold via WoW token was even farmed by anyone), that changes bot situation a bit, but not eradicates them, since bots pay subscriptions too.

If WoW would go F2P and bots would stop paying for boosts, and Blizzard would be interested in selling gold themselves, the bots would be completely banned, but “P2W” would be still in the game.

But you see there is no real P2W when all you get in GDKPs in the same loot as in normal guild runs you would, it is just the distribution of it being uneven and defined by the amount of gold players have.

This is not Diablo Immortal where chances of getting items whales have are nonexistent and many mechanics are made so that you would overpower them with RMT items only.

They do ban botting but in waves. This gives them time to open new accounts, level again and farm. And it is still profitable for them (the botters). This is why they don’t care and still farm 24/7 without breaking a sweat.

So yeah, nothing can be done. Or actually something can be done. From the community. But the majority of the people that play the game now, want things on a silver plate without effort. (Typical millenianns, Z-gen behavior). :stuck_out_tongue:

They community is not something united on this topic. They can say one thing and do the other. And we never know intentions of silent majority, who may be just swiping for their Sunwell gear right now.

Damn, this song is toxic for people !

Put earplugs

Oh that’s ok, I’ll be fine like this.

Gold buyers are lazy people.
Don’t see them for an entire expansion pack, often socials in your discord lurking. Then last phase they want to swipe big for game bis gear that they’re not going to use. But at least they skipped playing the game right? What fun is playing a game you don’t want to play for some trophy pixels

A lot of people just want to get the gear to level faster in wotlk tho, I see a lot of new people looking for guilds nowadays and have a few friends that came back now for the exact same reason

Swiping for WoTLK gear now is just wasting money, the gear won’t help that much and even if you do level faster then everyone else you’ll be waiting before everyone is level 80 and you can make a first raid. Often the first reset is or maybe now even the first two resets are raid free as it’s either not open yet or half the guild isn’t max level in 7 days. One reset is not going to make or break your start, especially since these swipers will leave again after a few weeks max.
I am against swiping always so yikes defending swiping to get a bit more gear after not playing the game for years.
