Remove Unnecessary Vendor Requirements or Restore the AH Mount

Hi,

I was trying to buy an item from a vendor to complete a last-minute meta achievement. As I was progressing, I needed to buy some items from random vendors, similar to the Onyx Gem Cluster Map, which requires 100x Dragon Isles Supplies and 3x Neltharite.

Can you please remove such unnecessary requirements from items? Am I supposed to fly to an AH every time I stumble across such items? Please make the AH mount purchasable again. It’s not fair to punish players who couldn’t afford it at the time. You could double the price or implement another solution instead.

I don’t want to fly back to an AH every time I find an item, nor do I expect to carry all expansion materials in my bags. This is very frustrating and makes me want to log off.

TY

Yeah, i hate this too, i havent even bothered collecting most of the DF renown cosmetics because i always forget what items i need to buy them with. Should just be recources, or even better, just gold. Recources served a purpose when we had mission tables, but they are just a redundant currency now.

This is why the Light gave us Bank Alts that live between the SW bank and AH.

Plenty of ways to get Mail delivered to you out in the world. I generally use Kay Stampwhistle toy. Easy to get as I managed to get it.

Of course they could (and should) add other ways to Access the AH but frankly it’s not a massive deal to use an alt to do your banking and AH administration.

Also, I’ve been complaining about too many currencies / materials for quite a while now. We really don’t need this many, they don’t add fun, flavour nor any enjoyment at all. They are just frustrating.

Unpopular opinion: Item exchanges that require crafting materials from professions are ok since they can act as a sink for them.

But any actual “currency” older than the 2 last expansions should be replaced by gold. So Timeless Coins, Garisson resourcs, apexis crystals, Legion and BFA supplies etc. should be converted to gold and anything that required those should work with gold. This would have the benefit of both allowing collectors and completionists to get done with earlier expansions faster, and would also add another gold sink.

70% of AH owners are also now just botting near a mailbox, with a level 10 character, it’s obvious, I reported so many bots lately, they farming in specific areas, hyperspawn, and I still haven’t got 1 mail from blizzard, with a thanks for reporting, crazy…

Couldve just properly looked up all the things you needed before heading out if you’re doing achievements that require it. But alts also work with instant mail in between.

Probably because 100% of your reports are of genuine players.

How? they’re standing still in the middle of a crowd, they all mounting up at the same time, check redridge, where the elite orcs are, check any area in Azure, where there are zone world quests, if you honestly think those people arent’ bots, you’re weird.

I am not weird. I cant coun’t it on 2 hands anymore someone called me a bot while i was just picking up flowers on my druid. And that are only the times when those crazy persons have sended a whisper with not that nice words in it.

Yeah these mat requirements feel so unnecessary in 2024. It is like some kind of forced RPG in a world where RPG elements keep being eroded away. Of course for most people it is obvious that these requirements are just meant to waste your time.

I hate it too - what I did was just copy paste the vendor list to MS Paint, log my alt in Valdrakken, buy what I needed, send to the “buyer character” (the one I was at the vendor) then use Katy mailbox - take out stuff and buy items.

annoying but not impossible.

all of u have some “bank” or profession alts come on.

Or you know, spend 5 minute and after a little reserach make a list what you will need from the AH

That is exactly what I felt.
