Removing first aid was big mistake

Good job deleting an entire profession instead of fixing your classes.

Not really…Its main usefulness was to increase the demand for cloth in the AH… I rarely used bandages, tbh… food for solo content while gearing up (after that, I don’t use food much either) and there’s a healer in groups.

Yea, what a huge mistake. Literally killed the game

The RP aspect was a bit… silly on one hand; as an adventurer, you risk your life and knowing how to treat your wounds is a must. On the other hand, it was totally worthless both mechanically both RP wise, since Azeroth (and WoW) is a world of magic, where knowing healing spells or having a vial of life saver potion is normal
Personally, I loved the fact time to time could patch up a lowbie who was dying during leveling, even used a bandage on myself time to time (even in raid, green dragnoess whos name I frogot in Ice Crown anyone…?)
They not removed it tho’ just a skill that uses cloths are lumped in to the profession that… uses cloths.
A tailor who works with needles and such are basically halfway in the medical profession, they could stich together a wound as professionally as a bag (actually treating a wound is kinda easier, trust me, than making a bag…)
It is a bit like how in the old times the blacksmiths were dentist too… simply because they had the tools

First aid had been utterly useless for years I think last time I used a bandage was in wotlk or cata.

It was cata then in mop they decided stupid all classes should be the same and get healing.

I liked first aid in vanilla and tbc, but then one mob could actually damage you. Most classes have great self-heals now and the ones that don’t are ranged ones perfectly capable of keeping an enemy at a distance and minimize damage taken. When playing in the open world, leveling or doing wqs, I never have to stop to heal up. Even on alts using gear that’s 20 levels below them, because I don’t use looms.

First aid became useless when they went ape **** with health pools in cata and started to give everybody self heals in mop onwards.

I remember back in bc/wrath that I used a lot of bandages on classes with no real self heals.

I remember a night back in The Burning Crusade, when the top horde and alliance raid guilds were assembling at Karazhan, and the horde guild’s main tank challenged the alliance’s (yours truly, then on prot warrior). Without bandages, one of us would have won. With it? We fought 'till maintenance, and vowed never to repeat the duel again.

First aid was amazing back then - pretty niche, but when it was useful, it was godly.
