I have a question to ask, and it may be a stupid one, obviously I’m still levelling and learning so don’t be too harsh lol
I’m currently playing as a Holy Priest, mainly.
The spell ‘Renew’ seems like it should be castable on other members of my group, except whenever I cast it, it just puts the Renew on me, is there something I’m missing, or something preventing it from being cast on others?
I’m specced with the ability ‘Holy Word: Salvation’ and I see Renew coming up on other group members then…but not on a standard single cast.
You probably have something wrong with your macro or something. You can cast renew on other ppl. (Even though you dont actually really use it in raid at all.)
Thanks for replying, but I don’t have a macro for it, straight from the spell book, it doesn’t cast on other people in my group.
Not done any raiding yet, but I can imagine you wouldn’t really use it, I’m doing just fine without it at the moment in dungeons, there’s a few scenarios where it would be useful…if it worked.
Do you perhaps have some healing related addon that could be messing with it?
Or is it possible that you are using macros (particularly mouseover ones) for the rest of your spells and not for Renew?
Eventually discovered that mouseover casting was enabled on the bar via Bartender4…I’ve never enabled it, but I should’ve looked more into if addons were affecting it.
