I am renown 80 now and want to prepare for 9.2 and level other covenants etc. Can i do that now without punishment? Last time i switched i was 78 or something like that and had to do the 2 week quest. thought i was implementet in 9.1.5 -.-
Does it work now or do i have to do an achievment?

you can switch whenever without any punishment. you only need renown 80 and completed the storyline once if you want to skip to soulbinds in said covenant with a new character.
If no punishment means losing all your renown and covenant features like portals, mission table etc then yes you can!
Once you have hit 80 and done all the story missions then yes you can switch but you will be knocked back down to Renown 1 and you will need to farm all the covenant conduits and legos for that covenant. You can buy an item to skip to 40 and take some anima with you too to make things easier but yea the “skip” I feel has been half implemented.

Dont forget table mission cancel if you swap covenant, it is pretty stupid because you swap when you want. I hope it reverts!
You don’t ‘lose’ them. They’re right there waiting for you if/when you rejoin that Covenant.
What is the fastest way to level from 40-80? Do you have any recommendations?
I would say torghast, but I was not doing torghast. It is super boring so I did only 2 runs per day. I am done with all covenans renown!
If you haven’t done the campaign yet, doing that early might be worthwhile. After that, either Torghast or low (+2) M+. Callings and weeklies too. Might mix them all up to avoid burning out too hard.
