Renown bugged or just me?

So patch 9.1.5 launched and decided to switch my Monk from Kyrian (Renown 80) to Necrolord

Now, this is the 1st Necrolord covenant character i have, so started at level 1 and bought the 40 x renown item from the new vendor

Not such a bad start, but i had to play through the campaign quests 1-9 to unlock soulbinds which took me to 50 something.

So…campaign quests done and soulbinds unlocked, i killed world bosses, done the weekly Korthia renown, daily callings, tormentors weekly, and everything possible.

Last night, i gained around 10 renown in Torghast spamming and ended at renown 67

However…this morning, i done the daily calling which got me to renown 68 but haven’t recieved any renown since!

I’ve killed 5 Heroic SoD bosses, 3 Mythic SoD bosses, 3 or 4 runs in Torghast and a few M+ low keys but still nothing.

From levelling through 9.1 i know there was catch-up gated to the weekly cap, but patch notes say that was removed as the campaign is no longer required?

Is there anything i’m missing? There’s literally no quests to pick up from covenant other than the Abomination Factory. Also there’s a repeat quest for souls from the Maw, but that’s not offering renown either

The renown catch-up is random. You may have an unlucky streak and don’t get any from various activities for a long while, then get a bunch in a chain. It appears you hit an unlucky streak.

I’m experiencing a similar thing, at 61 i suddenly started not getting renown from any source.

Same for a guildie of mine but he’s at 54.

So either we’re just getting super unlucky, or from pretty much guaranteed drops before it suddenly stopped dropping.

I’ve heard too many complaints about this for it to not be an issue. I’m 49 and I can’t get any more renown, something is definitely broken.

I’ve been running around doing stuff with my friend trying to level our renown. I’ve ended up at renown 79 and she is still on 57. Fair? Nope! They wonder why people quit out of frustration.

Hit 69 (when pinging level 60) on an alt yesterday now 77 after a dozen comp stomps. My 75-79 alts on reset are all 80 now (5 of them).

Mine jumped from 40 to 50 pretty quickly, as if I got 3 renown per activity instead of 1. I was pretty happy but then after 50 it’s only been 1. Just doing the callings, world bosses, weeklies and campaign. Snaaaaiiiilll speed. Might only bother on a wednesday. At least I’m only doing this once - I have nobody with the Fae, place gives me migraines. Not kidding.

Be interesting to see how it climbs on my levelling alt because she is 40 renown at 50.

i swapped to venthyr and i’ve been stuck at 55 renown for like an hour spamming comp stomps

Did the same…from night fae to necro.

40 From vendor, 40-49 in Comp stomp brawl, 3 renown from callings, 2 from world bosses, 1 from 1k anima q, 1 from maw souls q, 1 from weekly in kothria, 4 from lfr, 1 from +15, Then like 12-13 levels in torghast by spamming layers 9-10-11-12 which also gave me cinders to socket my entire equipment + one run of twisting corridors that have me 2renown and rest by doing 3 chapters of necro campaign. All in all 2 days of playing 40-80.

Now im working on my venthyr to not waste the time when this faceroll brawl is up.
So far renown 52 or 51 i cannot remember what it was when i went to bed yesterday…just by afking at stables and watching twitch rivals.

So basicaly over 52 levels of renown in 2-3 days of playing. The catchup is very significant…you just have to play.

At this point in the expansion the catchup rate should be way higher
