Ok so my hunter is night fae, Hunter is at max renown for the week and im currently focussing on my dh which currently at 12 with Kyrian… I would have thought blizzard would have more clear answers on how alts can catch up with renown to this awful RNG… I literally have no idea what to do to gain renown which is all i want to catch up as I am currently re-rolling to my dh.
Thoughts on this?
As far as I know dungeons drop emblems of renown from the last boss.
You can spam them until you’re capped.
Emissaries seem to award renown until some point.
AFAIK it’s not 100% drop tho… did 2 dungs on my DK alt, got no renown so I gave up on running dungs for renown. I did both wings in LFR yesterday on said alt, no renown dropped. So ye… RNG strikes again.

I reached 16 yesterday trying to catch up haha.
It’s not 100% drop rate no. But I did a few heroics on my shaman and I got 3 emblems.
is it worse if your alt is with a different cov? I had no problems catching up on druid, just ive been a bit lazy but my dh just seems to be struggling a little.
Nah, it’s not related to which covenant you are. I guess you just hit an unlucky streak.
They said dungeons, raids, pvp, callings can give you renown and that’s how it works. Pretty clear.

This is my third alt I’ve levelled and when I levelled my warrior I was around renown 5 when I got to 60 and with this one I’ve done the exact same kind of levelling and I’m still renown 1. I have no idea how lol!
I am in the same position, My main is at renown 21, so i decided to work on this alt. and hit renown 14 and done a load of dungeons, callings etc and not a sniff of any more renown. Now require 3 more to start chapter 7 of campaign.
heres a question in addition to this,
Does renown from callings quests carry over on reset? or does it cancel it off?
Just for info, max renown after reset tomorrow is 2.

I have a quest which gives renown, does that renown go when reset happens or does it stay on the quest?

Replenish the Reservoir (weekly quest) reword 1 emblems of renown
so hop hop go do the quests …
Every world quest should reward renown, seriously, this is going to be Legion all over again, being permanently stuck on artifact knowledge wasnt fun until they fixed it waaaaay into the expac by allowing you to get everything unlocked in like 5 world quests.
Let’s just skip to the good part this time and allow us to earn 1 renown per world quest, let people grind it out, it’s not legendaries, it’s not ilvl, it’s just basic player power.

I flew up to 14 then hit a wall. I’ve been doing all kinds of stuff and can’t seem to get anymore substantial gains
