So Now that World Quests have been reduced (disgusting).
Is there a way for me to catchup on Renown without having to complete all the quest lines again? So I can buy the Profession Recipes I need on my alts. Since Blizzard lied about Renown being account wide rewards.
They said that Renown rewards would be account-wide.
Toys and those pointless Garden Spade Transmogs are account wide. But the Player Profession Power, is not account-wide.
Now, had there been regular Daily or World quests, it wouldn’t have really been a problem. But since the only way to catch up is recompleting all the quest lines. It’s a bit of a shame that we’re back to having to repeat the sam content over and over again.
Thats good news, I think. But what happens when there are things you need, but you’re not at the mile stone?
You weren’t made to believe anything. They never said those were account wide. I remember some people saying they believed they were account wide and the replies did say that that’s not confirmed.
They actually said that Renown awards would be account wide, several times in the build up to the expansions.
In which case, why haven’t they offered a system which allows me to catch up without having to repeat the main quest lines again?
I wouldn’t mind a slower process, but World Quests have been greatly reduced in number. So it seems the only option is to repeat the story quests… on day 4.
Yes, and last expansion people moaned that Player Power was locked behind Renown.
I’m moaning that Player Profession Power is locked behind renown.
This time in Shadowlands, I had 2 characters max level with maxed out professions (including working my way up to Rank 2 or 3 legendaries). This time round, I needing to repeat the main questline just to catch up my Renown to unlock the recipes.
There is no catching up!
You know why there’s 3 weeks before season start?
Too allow ppl on a normal life schedule to progress at a normal speed.
Nobody says you can’t get an advantage over those players if you decide to invest more time/dedication, but you got to do it with the systems currently active.
There are no added system to prevent these ppl from feeling pushed to dedicate unhealthy amount of hrs to the game.
There is no catching up to do because you are already miles ahead the “average” “normal” player they are marketting towards.
I just like to get my professions up and running at the start of each expansion.
There’s nothing wrong with taking a slower progression if that’s what you want. And it’s up to other people if they want to run multiple characters. But locking the ability to level my profession to an character bound progression just feels bad. I just don’t think if a player wants to invest in their progression, that they should be held back, just because of the “normal average players” (see Preach Interviews at Blizzard for what this actually mean TL:DW nothing).
Now, I might be well ahead of the “average normal player” in-regards to getting my professions done, there are many players who have concentrated in other areas and well ahead there.
Now, there is nothing wrong with wanting to get a lot of the work done earlier in the expansion, so you can slow down later on and enjoy the game in area’s you want to enjoy in. Such as just logging in for M+ or Raiding.
Nothing is really holding you back from lvling 10 chars and have all proffesions maxed out though.
As you said yourself, everyone can do what they want.
But you are asking for a catch up mechanic, while there is nothing to catch up too…
The fact they implemented double renown exp is already a giant help.
In my opinion character bound progression is the only way too have a proffession system in place that makes sense. This is not FFXIV where one character has 50 personalities.
I’d rather stay away from the sellout content creators.
I don’t know the full story but…
A person that comments an infinite amount of negativity towards a game and the company, procceeds to not get invited (or requested) for beta access. Then suddnely gets invited to their office and changes his POV 360 degrees and starts loving the company and the game…
Doesn’t sound very reliable or believable to me. So i’d rather not.
He literally paid ÂŁ30k to fly out and spend a week at Blizzard HQ and have full access to everything and interview anyone he wants, and be able to ask any question he wants.
It’s actually a really interesting behind the scenes look at what happens at Blizzard.
Other than that, I don’t tend to watch these content creators either.
