So, coming from WotLK classic slamming face first into a renown grindwall isnt exactly pleasant experience. 2500 renown per level at 100 per quest turn in means 25 quests per level with the first worthwhile reward being locked at renown 12 … thats 300 quests worth of grind just to get ONE item upgrade ?
compared to lets say SoH rep on classic at 250-500 rep per turn in and 21000 to exalted … thats 70-ish quests for full rewards with meaningful upgrades for progress halfway down the line …and thats the HARD one, normal reps can be done in two days of running heroics
this feels really REALLY bad and absolute waste of time.
4 factions, 25 levels meaning 100 overall = 2500 quests - does someone really expect us to do THAT for pre-raid and recipe grind ?
you mean whopping 500x4 once a week from quest … that requires you to gather 4000 renown from other sources ? …
yeah no, ill take grinding 21000 rep to unlock all possible rewards at 250 -500 rep per “activity” with steady stream of reputation from kills over ± 4 ties as much at 25-100 rep per “activity”
simply put grinding ONE Renown takes ± EIGHT TIMES more work than grinding SoH reputation to Exalted on WotLK … which is RIDICULOUS… let alone other reps that take TWO DAYS each just doing Heroic World Tour … you know while you are working on pre-raid gear anyway …
I’m glad someone said this. I presume that the renown track is intended for the entire expansion and therefore large for that reason. If its only a .0 patch then yeah, insane grind.
That’s the whole point of this system. You don’t have to do any of this to stay competitive. Do it, if you enjoy it. A lot more content will be available in a short while.
