i dont wanna farm this reputation, i dont wanna do all these quests
so is it possible to get this rep from M+ and raiding or something? cuz if i gotta farm it thru quests im out yet again
so any1 know this info?
Renown is the new name for the reputations which was like this always in WoW, so I can say that it won’t change into a token system.
Also they are purely about cosmetics and professions which doesn’t stop you from any end game content, so if this bothers you, fully ignore the system and continue with the end game activities.
I hope not. The new system is much more fun.

Well the good news is. There is nothing in the Renown related to player power. So if you just want to do M+ or PVP or whatever, you can.

I really really wish they would bring the increased rep token from MOP back. I loved getting exalted on my main char and then buying the increased rep tokens for my alts it was such an amazing (and underrated) quality of life change and made so much sense!
Most things are comsetic but the biggest issue is the rank 25 reward. Rewarding a token so you can upgrade a crafted ilvl 392 to ilvl 405.
Sure it is not a player power maybe but the upgrade is huge to get early on if you just can shut your brain down and for example do hunts for 2-3 days straight. Makes it hard to just look at the renown ranks as something that wont matter if you do or not.
To get equal ilvl gear from M+ end of dungeon you have to run +19 and higher keys or +12 if you look at vault.
With the current System, when you hit Renown 10 on your main, you get 100% extra rep up to Renown 10 on your alts.
When you reach Renown 20, you get 200% upto Renown 10, and then 100% up to Renown 20, on your alts.
So yes, they kind of have that system.
If you look in the Renown tree its called “Word of a worthy Ally 1/2”

I had renown 12 with them and i did only full m0 runs…all world quests 2 times and all quests/ side quests on map. But it can be farmed on Obsidian Citadele by keys to Wrathion. Every single one made by 30 fragments and 3 keys it gives you 50 rep.
yeah but we had renown token in shadowlands for doing M+, worldbosses and raids etc.
Just asking if there coming back because i dont want to farm quests or citadel non stop thats not what i play the game for indeed and i hoped the token would make a comeback but there is no info on it i guess.
Yes, but also there is a chance in those Chests to have a Idol worth another 15 rep.
If you’re wondering how I’m at 23 Renown with Valdrakken… well a lot of it has been down to the Obsidian farm.
Ye i forgot that idols true.
They should just bring back renown tokens.
this idea was suggested by my 100 times nobody cared. alt friendly died in mop
there were renown tokens in shadowlands
so it is a possibility
the question is how many subs will leave before they make changes
