Boosting advertisements have gone rampant in LFG channels on SoD Living Flame, it is against and violates the terms of use to post boosting messages and adverts in the LFG channel, please everyone, make sure you right click report all those boosters posting in LFG channel as ‘Advertisement and Boosting’, with enough reports, they will be silenced and can no longer plague the server with their activities.

I’ve found that the ingame reporting does very little over time, where as if you email to hacks@blizzard.com with a list of em, there is a higher chance of em being banned in bulk.
Currently the RMT for raid loot has been crazy in the trade and services channels.
Thanks for your input, the in-game report basically comes down to how many players reported X person, it is automated, so this is why I am creating awareness of the situation, so more people report the boosters abusing the LFG channels.
The more player reports, the closer the booster gets to an automated account suspension/penalty/mute, they will usually get a mute placed on their account.
This is the primary purpose of in-game report, it is all automated, and we need to get more people to use it.

Because of the naming and shaming policy here, we’re a bit gated on spreading the word about the bots.
Even though we have the same 3 Warriors, same 2 Warlocks, same 9 Mages, same 16 Hunters and same 8 Paladins running in Azshara every single day for about 15-20 hours a day. All running an old version of the bot software, so they run and die straight into the invasions over and over again, making em fairly easy to spot, besides the scripted route.
There’s a good list of about 2000 bots you can spot in a day, if you travel around the world, but with such a large number of em, it becomes hard to report all, or even the same one as you’ll often have em stacked on top of each other.
Best we can do for now, is just to keep reporting, in the hopes of Blizzard taking action again one day.
The automated system holds us back as players/consumers, but nobody would try to go the legal route against Blizzard, so people are just giving up on it.

I totally support the need for Blizzard to invest WAY more into cracking down on bots and illicit activities. The automated system is all we got and indeed holds us back due to the required number of reports to take action.
I hope Blizzard can introduce new mechanisms for single reports, where in the system checks the reported player/messages for relevant keywords and phrases like boosting and immediately flags it for manual GM review.
Which kind of boosting are we talking about? People paying gold for level boosts or RMT raid boosts?
Any sort of boosting for gold advertisement in the LFG channel is a violation of the rules. The trade channel should be used for that, but boosters have total disrespect and disregard for these policies and still plague the LFG channel with their boosting advertisements.
Boosting for gold isn’t illegal, what should be illegal are false reports by clowns that do not know the ToS. It is completely different when you sell boosts with actual currency.

Clowns like you who don’t understand that posting boosting for gold is only allowed in trade channel, but a CLEAR violation in the LFG (LOOKING FOR GROUP) channel.

Individuals and guilds selling items and profession services for gold is allowed but can only be advertised in-game through the Trade chat channel.
Get yourself acquainted with in-game advertising policies before calling others clowns.

Hey guys,
I just came back to WoW after a long hiatus, and I’ve been noticing something unusual in trade chat and LFG — there’s A LOT of boosting spam going on everywhere, constantly. Some even just post links like ExpCarry and the like.
I used to remember back in the day that Blizzard would clamp down super hard on boosting and RMT.
But now everybody just doesn’t care anymore? Is everything like this now?
Are people actually using these services? Is it even safe to do so?
Not trying to rile anything up — really just confused.
