Logged in this evening got warning for language. Previously told a tank he needed to kill adds (before the first boss in ara kara) in ara (+10) and he went in yolo’ed it and we ran out of room and everyone died. I told him before we need to kill spider and tried to show him (and someone pinged me to highlight) which got ignored and then before boss tried to move over there again and he just charged boss. I said ‘you need to kill the adds’ and he took that to mean the adds spawned by boss and started flaming me after we ran out of room and people died. I left and then started getting whispers and then went to reply and hes reported me or whatever and now this. This system sucks… still.
I had a few people message me saying ‘reported’ or whatever after like 4/5th wipe on 11/12 keys and key is absolutely dead/bricked.
This is part #2 as I made a post of similar things dating back in 2023.
I don’t want to be held hostage in non timed keys at 12+ and above. Had a similar incident in mists 12 the day before, druid dps did some dumb things (think he died ~4/5 times that key) and died twice in quick succession between mobs and then couldnt ress, I said we don’t have timer for this and get flamed so just left.
The problem is the game design, when you introduce such a scaling difference at +12 this is rife for toxicity (90% of keys at this level in pugs get bricked)… I think the worst I have said was that I lost IQ points when someone said something nonsensical : /
Plenty of people get by without any of this… Wonder why that is

Highlighted the important part. If you feel the need to share with the group that you lost IQ points with something that you heard, then I am sure you might have missed some other times as well.

So, you got a warning? And? Which actions have been taken against you? None.
I get warnings once or twice a week, I can only presume for offering my services in trade chat for “pay what you want”, since that is the only thing I ever type outside of guild or raid chat
And yet not once in the 17 year history of this account has it been banned, silence or otherwise sanctioned in game.
You´re getting you´r underwear in a bunch over nothing, this is akin to complaining to the police why they are warning you to drive slower because half the nighborhood complained, when they could just as easily simply ticket you and tell you to contest it in court (=silence you and send you an appeal link).
Though admittedly by making statements like teh one about your IQ sinking, you’re not actively contributing to yourself not getting reported…

It takes multiple reports to get a warning not just 1 group reporting you will trigger this, keep this in mind not saying people aren’t abusing reports, this clearly does happen, however that does not mean that always happens.
