Reputation system so far:
I find new reputation system so boring that I don’t even bother doing it.
I mean we get to kill x number of rares to get to specific reputation,
few chests here and there for currency, with 2-3 simple daily or WQs, worth 1h content every day,
Can you please share your thoughts on this, because for me at least, this is worse then it was in vanilla reputation farming,
at least in vanilla you would group up 5man and go to open world to farm specific area, and you would meet other faction and have full day PVP fights,
some people would avoid it, but others would gank you, and that was action and action was fun.
Can we have at least both ways to farm reputation in new dragonflight zone, it won’t hurt anyone, you choose how to do it, but please don’t deny me or players like me some fun.
Or can it be done with questing, I mean how hard it is to design quests for phase 1, long quest storyline, not just 2-3 dailys, long quest worth of 15 days doing.
Can we have reputation from PVP maybe, make a vendor for PVP in each zone that represent reputation faction,
where you can exchange marks that you obtained from killing players in that zone, for reputation and rewards,
or events in that zone, simple make an event like terrokar towers and make pvp open and PVE events there to farm kills or whatever it might be, some materials too?
And when you conquer event you get 2 hours worth of farming in that specific zone killing mobs that have chance to drop marks that you would exchange for reputation and rewards.
Puzzles and girly mini games won’t work I can assure you that, but sure you can give that for girly players, no offense there, but I think only overhyped happy girls will do it, because girls like shiny stuff.
Maybe even long resource gathering event that will end up with summoning hard rare or even world boss, that rewards you with x amount of rep per x amount of time spent doing that, like a big event that you can do daily,
similar to GW2 meta events, but just rework it in a unique way.
We could also have simple daily quests like gathering materials for camp where reputation vendor is, bounty quests that require group to kill - rly hard rares or very big grind of mobs in specific areas.
-Fishing with pools, now this is another topic but I will squeeze this here, do pools for fishing, no more boring fishing like shadowlands, do pools with specific school in each zone, make fishing interesting and use it for daily quest.
I don’t know if team can organize that but may we have sometimes in begining of phase 1, attacks on various camps from other tribes, where you get to defend camp from big chunky elite mobs that require group to do,
there will always be someone in general chat to help because in start of expansion we all need that grind, and when you defend camp you get chest with marks and stuff and reputation reward. Those elite mobs can also have a chance of dropping,
some materials used for crafting specific items that are hard to get, or have weekly CD, do it like small event, we would want more of that, or I would at least.
Every reward from reputations should not be base gear, but recipes, because if you get to craft you would go in open world and that is what RPGs are about,
more unique rewards with more gear upgrades, you can also make as you craft more and more of that recipe item, your ilvl increases to max ilvl of HEROIC gear, that is important for those that don’t want to raid or do m+.
When one faction wins event be it PVP or PVE, it unlocks specific rewards from dungeon in that particular zone, marks that you exchange for reputation and rewards later on -it makes sure that everyone gets their way to enjoy farming rep.
You can even have mini daily with mount gw2 flying, to strike from above x number of flying enemies in specific zone, wich rewards you with marks that you can exchange for reputation reward.
-I don’t really know, the more I think the more I realize this is all copy paste from other games, it is really tough to get some fresh ideas, so please put your minds into this and help, ty.
-I do hope devs are reading this or at least some staff member is, that has courage to go to main dev and tell him all about our ideas, because if he is not doing that, what the hell forums are for. We don’t get paid but we put effort to make wow better.
