Requesting help with a Weak Aura

Hi,

I have this weak aura for Marrowrend (Blood DK ability) that does the following:

  • Always show Marrowrend icon.
  • Dessaturate Marrowrend icon when not having enough runes while also showing the cooldown swipe.
  • Marrowrend gives the Bone Shield buff. The Marrowrend icon glows when Bone Shield is not up (this means I need to use Marrowrend).

This all works great, except I want the icon glow to not show while not in combat. I’ve tried to do this with a Trigger:
Status > Condition > In combat
and with a Condition:
Trigger 4 Active > False > Glow External Element > Hide > Frame > Marrowrend frame.

Can anyone tell me how to hide the glow when not in combat? All works fine except for the glow which I can’t get to hide when out of combat.

edit: I fixed it with the help of Reddit and the right type of glow and combat.

I’m not sure but maybe make another part with a not in combat reference… for these:

Status > Condition > Not In combat
and with a Condition:
Trigger 4 Active > False > Glow External Element > Hide > Frame > Marrowrend frame.

Thanks for your reply. I preferably want to do it in one aura but I’ve tried that, doesn’t work either.
Btw, I think your solution should be Status > Condition > In combat instead of not in combat. At least it should with the Condition > Trigger 4 Active > set to false.

Ye… was just giving an example.
Anyways, i’ve imported it.

And i’ve noticed that it has:
Trigger Combination:

Required for Activation: Any Triggers

Try it with: All Triggers

Since it may pick up the “In Combat” part of the last trigger.

I’ve recently started importing weakauras, for raiding stuff.
Since for my characters i use Power Auras, which are much simpler to make. :sweat_smile:

Btw I didn’t know Power Auras was still around. I moved over to Weak Auras years ago when Power Auras got abandoned. I didn’t really like it at first but now I would never want to go back. Managing auras/groups is so much better in Weak Auras and WA is way more powerful in general. Well, at least to me :).

Yeah, i want to learn weak auras as well.
Since with the new expac, unless there’s gonna be an update to Power Auras, it has a lot of issues.

It’s so worth it man. Dunno what has changed in Power Auras since I swapped over but the thing I really liked so much in Weak Auras when I swapped over:

  • access all your auras regardless of the character you are on.
  • easy duplicate auras.
  • the grouping and group options are a godsend. I used to position each individual rotation auras on X-Y coordinates. Now I just use a group, place some auras in it, make them auto align horizontally and WA just spreads them out without the need to manually set their position. This is also super handy when you put a new spell in your rotation which you didn’t use before. Just place it in the group and it gets placed into the right position without the need to manually reposition everything.
  • conditions really handy (wasn’t available in WA back then if I remember correctly).
  • glows (not sure if it had it back then).
  • trigger options are vast, very vast.
  • probably a lot of stuff I forget.

Well Power Auras can do all that except grouping as far as i know.

I’ve made an Execute weak aura to show an icon and i had the same issue.
To resolve this look at:
Conditions > Then: Color > Click on it and drop the slider to -
Now the aura is transparent to the max and you can’t see it. :smiley:
