I have mained retribution paladin for over 14 years and sadly I think this love has come to an end.
I have done raids, m+ up to 17, i got my duelist title in 2v2 and I did anything I could to stick to my favourite class, but honestly I think I am done with it.
Everything is always difficult starting from finding groups, making good dps and surviving so I am contemplating changing class. I love melee classes the most but I found DH braindead and I personally dislike the warrior gameplay.
I never took in consideration playing a rogue but looking at how good they perform in every aspect of the game and how they are loved by lots of players I got this idea stuck in my head.
So now I am here on “your” forum guys to ask for your opinion about the class… and if you guys still find it enjoyable and fun to play?
Is it a challenging class to master?
I am not looking for the easy way, but just for a fun and rewarding class.
For all Rets i would recommend rerolling Subtlety Rogue.
It’s challenging to master, definitely rewarding and this spec is super fun to play.

Assa is the easiest spec, also fun to play if you like bleeds and poisons playstyle.
You need to know few things to use this spec to max potential… so it is kinda rewarding. Assa always does perform well everywhere.
Outlaw… it’s still RNG spec… some people enjoy this playstyle… some not (i’ll never touch this spec) but if you like Roll The Bones this spec is engaging and fun.
Outlaw is mainly M+ spec.
welcome to the club buddy, i was a MM hunter and rerolled to sub rogue, just do it man dont look back. if you dont enjoy your class anymore then youre wasting your time.
Inb4 it gets hard nerfed, alot of people including Savix is bringing alot of light to Subs strengths atm i wouldnt be suprised if the spec sees a hard nerf before release.
Subtlety is overtuned and bugged AF as always (every beta testing is like this)… Savix and other people are abusing this (you know… for videos… + this spec is rly fun to play)
Bugs needs to be fixed and one specific legendary needs hard nerf… and overall tuning needs to be done…

I mean it’s 50/50 at this stage weather subs gonna be good. It’s either ok, we let in rot in BfA lets fix it. Or a repeat of zul all over again. By the looks of it they’re putting more effort into sub out of all 3 specs, so are attemping to make it good I guess.
My only worry is which specs gonna suffer? I mean look at all 0ure DPS classes in BFA. Mage - arcane garbage the whole expansion. Hunter - survival garbage for multiple expansions. Walock - demonology aweful and left to rot. And obviously sub for rogue. It really does feel like they focus on 2 specs at a time out of the 3, and the third gets left to rot. From a pve perspective.
All 3 specs are good and can be played without a problem, but keep in mind that Sub rogue will NEVER be GOOD PvE spec in higher (competitive part of the game). Outlaw and Assassination are your safe bet for PvE part of the game while Sub will shine as always in PvP. Blizzard is keeping class in that direction for years and nothing will change. I would say if you are into playing pve and pvp your safe bet is Assassination spec.
In light of lack of needed changes for the WW, I too have rolled a Sub rogue on beta, and damn the spec feels good. Even if the numbers get tuned and it gets a nerf, it will still be a fun spec to play. Hi, rogue forums.
I was trying out sub on beta and ran out of keybinds setting it up?! It’s got more buttons than druid! I’d prefer it to outlaw’s rng but found that fun too. Am I missing something or is it just that loaded?
I dont have this problem, and I bind everything, even foods, flasks, pots, mounts, hs stones, every single ability I have, and even some macros for announcing interrupts and marking targets (skull, etc) and world markers.
Sub is quite loaded, I’m not arguing against that, but it’s not that much that you run out of keys.
Yeah, my solution to fight with full movement control over a char is a mouse with 8 buttons + ctrl + shift (3x8=24), and Q, E, R, F, G, Z, X with ctrl and shift (7x3=21) + 1,2,3 for bombs from engi. And to be honest I would like to have a couple more of them xD, but my brain limit is on from this point.
I think Sub in PvP because of Shadow Dance (you often pack non-stealth abilities like Evi, SnD, Rupt in a stealth bar) is the most hotkey eater of all 3 specs.
A spy of Light among us ? among us outlaws , mugger , killers , thiefs , assassins , rapeists , bandits , plunders , sinners hahh this will be intresting … there will be no light here to protect you paladin u better start learning how to use a dagger and how how to stab them who u love and steal from ur friends this is all parts of beeing a rogue …
