messed up in a gamer sense i suppose.
it doesn’t actually bother me irl if thats what you think.
i was able to perform with the class while it was weak, i am stomping content and enemy players now that its strong.

As a BiS P3 Mage BiS i had so much fun on my fresh shaman 50s on STV.
I just did 1,8k Coins on first try.
5 Melee hopped on me, my priest healed me. I did Flameshock, did 2 Proccs and we killed all 5 (had 1 Shaman and 2 Hunter in Back)
the thing is. i just survived it and could handle the situation.
as mage I would jump 3 times put 2 living bombs and die in agony.
I ejoy elemental shaman so much.
Best Class atm by far.

At least a lot of players are admitting they like shamans because its easy mode and are OP and require little skill to best other players that’s why they like playing them, not for like of the class but for being OP
Some are obviously trolling about shaman’s being fine, but some are being serious that they think nothing is wrong with them…

I don’t care if shamans are strong. Because I’m Horde. But I still don’t understand why a support class is also one of the best dps in the game and most of the time top dmg meters.
I remember a time where pure dps like mages and rogues should be top followed or outdpsd by geared warriors and everything after it. A shaman, no matter the spec should do around 30% less dmg then a mage or a rogue. Can’t be that hard to fix … and would also balance pvp.
I do not see their focus on pve, according to what I see - melee hunter top dps, new tanks doing more dps than actual dps, old tanks being worst on tanking, broken specs on pvp doing poor dps in pve and so on…broken and poorly designed events, bad designed raids. I hardly can say do they have their focus on something specific…

I agree with this,
High utility classes shouldnt be at the top of the dmg meters,
I really dont blame alliance pvpers for pushing shamans nerfs,
They have the best utility in the game with totems, they have solid off healing with riptide and earthshield + the baseline healing abilities, both enhance and ele have insane burst,
Its like the devs have taken the things that make a class good, and put them all into 1 class.

Oh but this is not Classic. Good ol HoTW spec was fine in vanilla / classic. For SoD you need double of “fine” classic dps to be “viable”.

its actaully got to the point where PvP in battle grounds are beyond embarrassing. Just done AB and there was no less than 20+ totems at Blacksmith (Shift+Spacebar = 7 Shamans - sad, mainly because the majority of those players now have that false belief they are good at PvP lol - absolutely pathetic!)
I think it’s now at the point where SoD is losing a huge amount of previously reliable and consistent subscriptions because of this - or are going to Cataclysm where PvP was actually a bit balanced and fun.
Trying to up my PvP rank but after this evening sh1tshow I’m considering adding to that list of cancelled subs.

Stay shaman, you would be disappointed to know hunter’s are not one win button, but FOTM rerollers usually don’t know how to play and in that case - they will lose to hunters, so that’s why they think hunters are soo OOP.

Can anyone tell me if 2hand spec melee shaman is even viable or if dual wield with lava lash is the only option?

wish they’d add like a whirlwind rune for 2H shammy, at least it would make it somewhat viable in pvp… now by that i mean a whirlwind that can’t proc wf but it would allow you to stack some quick maelstroms with a 2h, which is the main problem; dual wield generates like 10x the amount of maelstrom that 2H can ever hope to generate, so you need more hits, but more hits means more WF and that breaks the game…
for pve, 2h can never hope to compete with dual wield. they would need to add something drastic like 100% crit damage for 2h and that would break the game in pvp lol.

Ok thx, at least i know now to not even put hope in playing 2hander.
And also i know that i can spare me a lot of trouble when collecting the dalaran relics from dark riders
