If you can’t beat them, you join them. I thought I would be wasting my time levelling one because I was sure they would get nerfed. But nothing truly gets nerfed. The same classes are still strong in PvP. I could roll a hunter, spriest or balance druid but shamans seem the most fun of all.
I’m sorry everybody but you just have to adapt to these devs that DO NOT understand PvP and where their focus is only on PvE.

Whether good or not it is a very fun class to play, good choice my man. Oh and if some warrior cries for WF or heals in BGs tell him to go suck a lemon.
Doing exactly the same thing today. Already started with buying bags and green gear up to lvl 15 and sending it over!
Feral is lost, dull and boring rotation, no weapon scaling, p3 runes are unsatisfying, no Wild strike procs on special attacks… and the worst thing is how ugly the horde cat form model is
Where have the old school pro druids gone ? I’m pretty sure HOTW spec is viable but haven’t seen a single druid playing it…

and these shaman players are lying about their class so it doesn’t get nerfed, god forbid their main class isnt the best class anymore.

i happen to be a shaman player for the past 20 years.
this class is finally where it needs to be in terms of performance. time to man up and learn how to play now that you can’t just consider them a free kill anymore (which is what people are used to in classic, hence the extreme levels of seethe and cope).
btw there are tons of counterplay to everything a shaman can do.
name the spell and i’ll tell you how to counter it.
honestly, the only part of their toolkit i can’t think of a “real” legit counter to is decoy totem… maybe poly

I call BS, an legit og 20 yr vanilla shaman wouldnt be on the forums every single minute of every single day, youre just a kid that has to play an overtuned class in order to achieve anything, you little twerp.

i dunno what to tell you. i got like 5 different shamans on my account.
one on retail (the oldest one which i dont play because yuck retail)
the one i have on wrath
the one i have on era (used to be hardcore)
and the one i have on SOD.
if we include the shamans i had on numerous private servers that i tried out the number would be more like 6-7.
i count two on private vanilla servers and one on turtle wow which i didn’t play that much,
i would link my retail logs but i doubt there are logs going back 20 years since logs weren’t even a thing back then.
i can link you my classic vanilla logs though.
if you flat out don’t believe it i suppose there’s not much i can do about that. it wasn’t supposed to be a gotcha or anything. just stating that i played the class when it was weak and now i get to play it while its strong.
you can’t even begin to imagine the abuse a shaman player has had to endure from the rest of the playerbase for those 20 years - especially in vanilla where shaman is at its worst.
