People who advertise resi keys and ask for fee in “notes”
How are they not permabanned yet and why’s blizzard not addressing this issue?
Allegedly advertising in LFG is against the rules so how come this is an ongoing issue and people doing it get 0 punishment?

No, it is against the ToS. But like with many other things, sometimes not looking at a thing can turn a bigger profit
I would encourage to just keep reporting it as advertisement since that is what they are doing even if they try to be “sneaky”. I would hope blizz do something if enough ppl just keep reporting it.
If they keep being silent even into midnight and let ppl keep doing it, then resi keys should just be deleted.

I know for a fact that “WTS” is permabanable, blizz also changed it so you need authenticator to use a custom group name, and besides blizz doing half@ss job per usual I dont see how “note” people are not permabanned on spot

If they did reverse resilient, ie you get a key +1 higher if you time all at your level this note stuff ends instantly

I just opened the LFG tool, 14 groups that are clearly typing “note”, I reported them all. There’s 11 other keys I can see with resi but no note. So, 25 keys up with resi and 14 of them contain “note”.
Absurd that they’re allowed to continue. Get rid of them from the game.
As others have also said, it is indeed a bannable offence. The question is whether Blizzard will actually act on it or not. I do report a good deal of them when I see them, but I am just not sure if it makes a difference.

They even updated the T&C to include “note” and “tip” words.
Those bastards are just lazy people. I understand the frustration of having all keys at +16 and needing just that ONE flood16 to get resi16. And I too would pay gold for that.
But to do that, one should use the legal channels. Buy a boost for gold through the “services channel”. And earn the gold by boosting others. Through the services channel.
It’s the legal way. But this “note” business… it’s just lazy bastard territory. Report those MOFOs.

Absolutely. At this point, blizzard has no choice but to change the system to starve those guys out of revenue.
And there are TON of different avenues Blizzard can take.
They can simply remove depletes of all keys above a +17 for example. Or they can reform crests and allow us to buy key upgrades/rerolls.
They can do many, many things. But they wont. They wont do anything untill this “note” situation trickles down to lower keys. Which it is.
Would be a dream. Imagine a world where you can PROGRESS a key level instead of doing it once and then back to homework keys until you get the key that you need again.
This whole depletion system doesn’t make any sense. I don’t care if lil Timmy finally hits 3,4K rio when I can progress my way to title.

I truly hope they either make solo que or start banning people who are asking gold for invites into groups. Currently when I try to apply for +18 / +19 keys most of them are just “note” groups, can’t get into groups because almost everyone is asking gold for invite. I don’t want to pay to get carried and can’t play if I don’t pay, it’s ridiculous.
For people who say you can always go your own key, yes, it takes hours to get it from +17 to +18 keys and if you’re missing only 2-3 keys for resi you need to get these specific keys, you might not get a key which you need in entire week and if you do, then of course it’s not 100% confirmed you are gonna time it.
