Hi, was curiouse how much resilience i would need to make up for the lack of defense as a tank with the brutal gladiator gear for dk’s

As of the prepatch resi no longer works as defence rating for pve mobs.

ah ok, then its basically a dps spec in stead then

It still works for PvE tanking, because among many other things it’s bugged and they haven’t changed it yet.

It should still work in wotlk. The resilience change was implemended in patch 4.0.1 cata.

  • [Patch 4.0.1]: Resilience can no longer reduce the chance to receive a critical strike, the damage done by critical strikes, and the effect of mana drains. Resilience will now only reduce damage done by players and their pets, and no longer has any effect against non-player mobs.
