So Swipe is getting AoE soft-capped next patch. Do you think this will make cat-weaving viable and resto druids good at pushing M+, where damage output is important for healers?
It already is. It already does more dps than mw monks and priests.
Go kyrian and buff someone’s dps 16% every minute with the legendary. People do somewhere around 30k in during big pulls. 16% of that is 4.8k you’d contribute on top of that. Now also add the 5-6k you can do by spamming Swipe and we are at around 9.8-10.8k. Not exactly holy pala like but I’d still call it decent.
The bigger problem is single target dps. I already struggle with some tanks to kill the Mueh’zala totem in time at ~20.

As Tate said, it’s already viable. The major reason people played boomie so far is because it’s not melee, and boomie has access to Typhoon, which feral does not.
Cool. I haven’t played resto druid for so long, I thought everyone still plays moonkin affinity.
Do you think the swipe AoE change will reshuffle the healer damage ranking? Will cat-weavers be able to compete for 2nd place with Kyrian resto shamans?
