Resto druid or mistweaver monk in m+

Hello everyone
I have a resto druid and a mistweaver monk whom i m+ with. Can’t decide which i wanna try higher keys with. Both are fun to heal on but my problem lies with their damage output.
I feel i have an easier time dps’ing with the monk but how important is that really?
Sunfire on a trashpack is easy enough but that isn’t that much damage and i don’t feel comfortable with cat form when people are taking to much damage due to fire and such.
But as I said, both are fun to heal on but will mistweaver take me further than druid if i can get bigger dps numbers on that one?

I don’t think your healer-dps will matter much. However, monks bring Mystic Touch, an +5% damage buff for physical damage. If you run with physical DPS often, that mystic touch is very nice. On the other hand, druids have combat res.

Nevertheless, both are very viable well into 10s, so play whichever you find more enjoyable.

The thing is if you want to dps as Monk and Druid when healing. Is again as poster above pointed out, you are gonna bring Mystic touch as a monk.
Though as a druid, when you’re catweaving. Is more dependent on the group, how often they DON’T take dmg. You should only go cat form if you feel like your group is safe, and no incoming damage is coming.
When you’re saying “higher keys” is it +15’s or close to +20’s? Cause fistweaving or catweaving in +15’s aren’t as important as it is on +20’s, though you can get away with catweaving a lot more on 15’s than on 20’s due to less dmg in general.

Honestly, druid will take you further if you can get comfortable cat weaving.

I’ve played both at over 2.2k and theres zero doubt in my mind its easier to heal higher stuff on a druid. Their toolkit is just perfect for 5 mans.

And while your dps will never set the world on fire, if you go with aggressive trinkets and work at it, the damage you can do is pretty significant.
