Dear Blizzard,
I was wondering why resto druid’s wild growth isn’t a smart heal? Why does it prioritize low health pets, army of the dead, blood worms etc… over players?
Also could you at least add a glyph that can make our emergency heal “tranquility” raid wide instead of party only? It’s already bad enough it has an 8 minute cooldown which can be reduced to 4.8 minutes using two talent points.
Thank you,

Incorrect. It does not prioritize pets, it treats pets as players. Because IT IS a smart heal, pets get Wild Growth much more frequently than actual players, due to their low HP stat.
And to my and many other’s sadness a blue post confirmed while this is inconvenient, it is not a bug but rather original spell behaviour. Many free servers dealt with this and changed this, and also Blizzard did later on (in MoP I believe?) so you might be used to something different.
If they admit it is inconvenient, what prevents them from polishing the skill and make it convenient?
We aren’t asking for a 10% buff with heal, just prioritize players over pets.
It really doesn’t make sense on why they are fixated on having it this way.
Post from Aggrend:
This is not a bug, currently. This is how the spell functioned in 3.3.5 and while we are aware of this and agree it’s not strictly ideal, we have no plans to change it at this time.

I know Blizzard mentioned it not being a bug but why do they insist on it being this way!?
What is their reasoning???
Just being plain lazy? Who do they exactly hurt if they just made it heal players>pets???
Is it going to be that game breaking?
A logical answer must be given and not some anesthesia response that stupefies the Resto druid community.
Deep wounds proccing off of spell crits completely fit with the spells original interaction and warriors “spell” shenaningans since vanilla, yet they changed it cause it wasnt how they “originally” intended it to turn out and didnt want people to use vanilla gear.
They are basically hypocrites, cause there were no way in hell, that they intended for this instance, where druid hots are the only smart heal to prioritize pets this way.
Why arent chain heals getting griefed or any other raid heal ?

Yeah I mean nothing against you, its just blizz being bunch of muppets, but for example DK gargoyle doesnt work like it did during original wotlk and they did nothing to fix that, so them saying “its how it should be” is lame as hell excuse …
Especially when we use version of game for classic that already has this thing fixed, so technically speaking they had to break it first to make it work like on wotlk
… which is a very blizzard thing to do

Nothing like looking at logs after a raid and seeing that 30% of one of your top heals goes to pets (11.4M total WG, 4.03M to pets), most of which can self heal and gotta love all the tics for under 100, and an average tick of about 50% of the max tic.

Because they cannot be bothered to change it. It is what it is. The squeaky wheel gets the grease and resto druids aren’t as vocal as ret paladins or feral druids about wanting their spec fixed, so in the shadow realm we stay.

Blizzard said in the past that Wild growth is working as intended. They won’t change it to prioritize players.
Pets need love(heal) too, WG is the answer
