Hi!
I’m not sure whether I want to main resto or elemental - but whichever I choose it seems according to icy-veins that they share the same stats? The only thing I will have to decide is what legendary to get. Is this true?

But yes, they pretty much prefer similar stats. Unless you’re pushing cutting edge content, slightly inferior stat distribution won’t matter.

So if i’m only planning to raid on normal dificulty MAYBE heroic, im good?
Yes. Just take ilevel upgrades. If the decision is between items of the same ilevel, you can roll a dice and still not go very wrong for either resto or ele. Though, Mastery isn’t very strong for Ele, while it’s not bad for resto in raids. If you just ignore mastery, and pick a mix of anything else, you can’t go wrong.
Then again, for normal and heroic, just… don’t care about stat prio. Not at this point into the season.

Does that mean in theory I can /ignore icy-veins talent suggestions too? I find myself sometimes choosing a class because icy-veins say its good or it has the least “negatives”. But based on what you are saying im getting the feeling I might be thinking too much about this compared to what content I actually do!

I’d still take the suggested talents, as those are easy to pick, it doesn’t require RNG. But if you find another talent more fun, or easier to play, at the normal and maybe heroic level, it won’t make much of a difference.
