Resto Spec- Whats the ideal M+ build in SL. And what you think about chains of devastation leggo

Im trying with Chains of devastation legendary and vesper totem ( the red chain heal leggo seems les usefull with this build, and the healingWave spread heal covenant is useless).
The build revolves around that legendary, buffing chain heal with high tide, deluge, unleashed life and finally cloudburst totem becouse the other 2 are useless with this build.

I dont rly know what to think about this build. It seems strong, really strong, but the playstyle with that legendary revolves 75% of time around chain heal / chain lighting back to back, casting riptides and healing rain in between or lava shock lava surge in single target fights, eventualy healing surge if only 1 ppl is low, its nice i guess but im yet used to a more traditional build.

I went to discord and people seems to think this legendary is weak, but to me it seems super strong, the playstyle seems a bit basic at first but if you rly want to optimize it i can see some complexity on it.

What you think about the playstyle of this leggo and whats your favorite M+ build.

the problem was always that shamans single target heal is pretty bad and of course doing negative dmg.
Unfortunately chain lightnings dmg is also pretty bad so the legendary probably will not fix both issues.
Also you will be oom pretty quickly

yes, chain light does very underwhelming damage, even if you spam it it will do less or same dps than fire shocks and lava burst on procs.

This is a meme build. I use the ascendance riptide Lego and had best results with it.

you mean the leggo that every 4 riptides apply a new one and ascendance talent? What covenant ?

Also one newbie question: If you cast Riptide everytime it is off cd (and i belive is fine to do so) then the talent “echo of elements” will not buff our riptide, becouse the only moment it gives us another charge is when we are not using it. Right?

For example in a boss fight where you are always casting it on CD, the only moment that talent would benefit us is at the begining of the fight, with 1 more charge right?

I think the answer is yes, thats why im considering deluge for raids, the minus side would be 1 charge of cloudburst but i guess 20% increased healing on melee group ( healing rain ) will make up for it and not rely as much as hitting a good cloudburst

Nah I use the one that has a % proc to proc ascendance everytime you cast riptide at the moment, I had the most numbers from it believe it or not from the giant ascendance splash heal feeding into CBT but its major RNG, probably not meta.

This is a very valid point you raise in relation to Riptide tbh never really looked at it like that, however it also gives double cloudburst totem which is huge

i used it a bit, i belive its one of the worsts becouse if it proc when you dont need it feels bad and it will take like 1.5 to proc again

I think the chains of devestation could be ok but most likely only for saving a chain heal instand cast. The rest is more likely a bonus bot not necessary.

In my personal opinion i could see the MTT Legendary become a thing. Its always usefull to have a burst heal cooldown. I mean i dont know the bosses yet because i dont want to spoiler myself but for bosses like witches in waycrest or temple of sethralis the 3rd boss it could be super usefull. On bigger trashpulls too ofc.

Another option is jonats? The one which buffs our chain heal up to 50%. I mean its a hps increase and somewhat a burstheal option.

The riptide spread is just hps but i think its more a raid themed legendary. I mean because of the riptide buff it will be solid passive healing in m+ too but i think its better to have “real” options in m+. That being said i will most likely go MTT or riptide one first because my focus will be raid and not m+.
