Wotlk is the best game version proved by actual fair metrics. If you believe blizz has the capacity to change that to be even better, well, just go read the changes they already made. Doesn’t matter what side you are on, you will see it makes no sense.
Changes of the last patch will be there if the /roll of the blizz dev team scores more then 50.
There are so many last patch features that are missing. I can start by :- no bg queue out in the open world
You could as well argue that Shadowlands isn’t 9.x but modified 8.x client.
The truth is that it is 3.4.0 client and it is completely different from 3.3.5 from a technical side. Some of the features that 3.4.0 client has and 3.3.5 didn’t include the ability to selectively load data files based on the realm’s setting, which was used to add 2.x client features to Season of Mastery while keeping Classic Era unaffected. It is also possible to hotfix much more, because 3.3.5 ran on MPQ archives which had to be patched for the smallest change, hence patch numbers such as 3.0.2a where changes were too little to add a new patch number.
they could have put all the data from 3.0.2a to 3.3.5 in the client and let it just activate depending on phase.
There are even missing last-patch TBC features such as quest links. Not sure if the quest tracker made it yet but they said they’d bring that too before launch.

This is just the same nonsense drivel repeated. It doesn’t matter what 3.3.5 ran on cause it’s not the case for our current client.
