Restore class quests

It may be Wrath, but it’s still Classic. So I’d suggest not removing the class quests and the requirement to complete them, which has always been a big part of Classic and what made it different from retail.

What class quests are removed?

Mount quests are no longer required cause mounts were changed to be level 40 instead of level 60 and expecting level 40’s to do Scholomance and Dire Maul is unrealistic, and expecting a druid to find a group for a heroic Sethekk Halls is unreaslistic as well.

like warlock demon quests

also, mounts changed from level 40 to 30, not from 60 to 40.

Exactly this is Wotlk Classic not Wotlk Vanilla.
Stop fkin try to change our game and go back to Classic ERA jesus christ

Just created a level 80 template warlock on the beta and was fully capable of going to the quest giver to pick up the succubus quest.

I’m not gonna bother checking the rest of the but rather just assume you’re wrong about those too.

… no.

OG: 40/60 for ground mounts.

TBC: 30/60 for ground mounts.

WotLK: 20/40 for ground mounts.

That was in TBC. In wrath the 60% mount is available at lvl 20, the 100% mount is available at lvl 40 and the 150%, (up from 60%), flying mount is available from lvl 60. Prices have been reduced to reflect the new lvls. The epic flying mount is still lvl 70 and cost 5k gold though. But if you buy it at HH or the horde equivalent, you get the SW/Org reputation discount, making it 4000 for most players.

and 1.5sc casting mount

just created a level 1 warlock and there was no quest available for imp, and the imp was at the trainer.

And I think few class quests persisted even back then, but you could just get skills from the trainer and skip them. Or even use bear form while doing the bear form quest.

wasn’t that actually a 3.0 or 3.1 change? I also remember you could remain on a mount when underwater

Okay, I’ll grant you this one.

But it was done to teach pet classes that they’re pet classes. Same as how a hunter starts with a pet.

3.2 for both.

What about no more changes? I was all for some changes but this is starting to become an abomination. Please please pleasez don’t change anything more, instead let’s hope they restore wotlk features back into the game.

Saying this for the first time fkin ever: #nochanges

Wasn’t that Cataclysm? I don’t think hunter starts with a pet in Wotlk.

We are all for good changes and not stupid changes or for nobody asked for

Yes it’s in Cata, you have to do the quest to get a pet at lvl 10

Imp quest was removed in WotLK OG.

We’re on a 3.3.5 client so consider all the wrath additions (other than the actual content, for example QOL like this) to be there  prepatch on ptr has them already

Obviously some will leave sooner than other. But if some leaves at 40-60, then soon it will be 30-70 wich make more people leave and then it just spiral. On a PVE server, the first once won’t leave, making ir more likely to have a somewhat balanced server.

I think imp quest is like the only one that gets removed in WotLK. No big reason to worry

actually 3.4.0 client which is completely different than 3.3.5 from the technical side, so they could make it look and feel like 3.1, which would make official classic unique in recreating the experience more authentically than private servers.

in-game UI changes can be reverted if you know LUA, but mechanics and content changes can’t.

Patch 3.3 lifted all quest requirements and put all skills in trainers. Of course, the quests still exist, and you can choose to not train the spells from trainers, but it feels like limiting yourself intentionally. It is a game, and games are meant to be challenging and rewarding.

There were a few quests made optional earlier than 3.2, and with a good reason (such as druid’s swift flight form), but the rest shouldn’t be affected on classic.

Now I’m wondering about the Morrowgrain to Darnassus quest. I recall that some WotLK patch, probably 3.3.0 or 3.3.5, removed it, with a glitch that made it show up as acceptable quest when you completed the Morrowgrain Research quest, but it’d say “You do not meet the requirements for that quest” when trying to accept, and even the exclamation mark on the NPC was missing and you couldn’t trigger the bestowal dialogue again.

I’m wondering how it works on WotLK Classic.

Dude no, we’re running on a modified 8.x client. Don’t try to be smart about this if you don’t know.

What a surprise. “They don’t change the game the way i wanted to so i don’t want #Change anymore”

Are you like most of the players who were asking for #Change prior Classic/TBC and begging for “retail” (or WOTLK) features/services but now they don’t won’t change anymore because it may hurt their favorite version of the game ?

Yep. It’s based on the bfa client but it contains the 3.3.5 content and changes alongside all the classic changes. So expect mount cast speed, etc to be there as they were in the last patch.
