Restoring a Character on a Locked Realm

I am getting a “There was a problem restoring your deleted character. Please try again later.” - I’m trying, but nothing happening.

Any help please.

There was a blue reply to this recently. If you don’t have any ‘live’ characters on the realm:

Hi there Aroukati, the reason is because character creation has been restricted for people with no characters on the realm, which the undeletion behaves as in this case.

You would need to contact Customer Support ingame about restoring your Hunter, we wouldn’t look to bypass the ticket queue for people on these issues from forums posts. However, it should be stressed that an exception may not be made for the restoration as Customer Support does not normally restore characters for players any more.

Remember character deletion is intended as a permanent solution, so in the future you should consider deletion more carefully on characters you may want to use in the future.

WoW, thats pretty sad for me. I mean, i deleted my horde character so i can play with my friends from work on alliance and found that servers are locked so that’s double yikes for me. At least my subscripton expires today so i can wait for server unlock.

In my post I do also mention that an “exception” can be made, but it would be a case by case basis, and not something to make a general statement on that we could guarantee a character undeletion, as we (and I) can’t do that.

I hope that clarifies my point, Customer Support still has to act within our own policies and procedures, but in some cases we can do something outside the box. Essentially you can ask about undeleting the character, but it may not be possible, bear in mind you could be waiting a week or more for a reply.

However, it seems that the developers have made it so players can restore characters on Locked Realms since this weeks maintenance! So you should try again.
