As all ‘‘playable’’ servers are mega servers nowadays, LFG channel spam is ridiculous. You cant find anything there as people spam 5 story copy pasted crap there. The chat screen resets every second completely.
How am I supposed to find groups when the only place to find group is unreadable? I cant even find a leveling guild, because no one can read my message in the channel.
How does one find anything from there without getting a headache?
so there is a something called addon made to make your life easier, LFG announcement or bulletin board are really good addons that allow you to see who is spamming for what dungeon//raid really handy

It is funny when the game is not adequatelly playable until you have 3rd party programs correcting the flaws … sorry I meant classic spirit or whatever you call their excuse for incompetence

Addons have been a core feature of this game since Vanilla beta.
To be fair the chat spam isnt original classic feature as we didnt have mega servers back then. Mega servers are a result of Blizz’s mess up
Well, it’s a combined effort from both Blizzard and players. Just because Blizz allowed it, nobody forced players to actually do it.
On the actual topic, I’d agree to limit spamming. Maybe make the flooding limit lower, especially if the text is the same (or almost the same).
I hate how every idiot has to spam his macro 3-4 times in a row.
It’s like talking in a bar. People start talking louder to hear the others and then others start to do so as well, louder than the previous ones, then it just escalates to yelling.
Or better yet, just make a useful LFG tool so people can see what group is up and what roles and number of players they need. And have people actually use it.
Trade chat spam is as bad as pre boost community ban on retail.
Yes, I agree, but they always felt not mandatory. Now they feel like , must have , because the game is simply not adressing current problems.
blizz just closed its eyes, nothing to see here. They are missing any bigger competition, but since there is almost none, they can simply choose to not care at all
Use addon called “Global Ignore List” or similar. You can put keywords in it to automatically block all certain spammers and it slowly adds ignorelist to all who spam crap.

The first step is to type /leave 4 and /leave world to reduce your headache. Now there is finally silence, and peace. The next step would be to find a guild. I can’t post links, but search “Gehennas Discord” in Google, and go to the guild section. If you play alliance, do the same for Firemaw obviousely. There you can choose from guilds.
I found my guild naturally while leveling and doing dungeons, but not everyone is that lucky…
It has to do more with streamers aka famous people that picked these servers thats why they are so overcrowded now.
Nope. If there would be ONE mega server, but that isnt the case. There are multiple. People are abandoning servers, because Blizz cant keep server balance right. The moment scale shifts towards one faction, people start panicking and abandoning the ship transfering to a server where’s more of their faction. Blizz could’ve prevented this with restrictions, but they didnt.
This isnt players fault. A society without laws and regulation acts like this.
Sadly that discord is cancer for anyone who doesnt live by the whims of mods.

Yeah, it’s absolutely crazy that there’s no built in throttle for global channels.
Part of the problem now is that if you’re not spamming your ad will get pushed off by people who are, so people who wouldn’t otherwise spam feel obliged to do it so that people see their ad, which makes the situation worse, and so on and so on.
There is a limit. Like 4 or 5 messages in a small amount of time.
I know this because I triggered it a few times while chatting in trade.
By spamming it 3 times and then waiting, they can bypass the flood protection.
