Bloody hell that sounds strong. Probably won’t be in later patches, but I can imagine it being super popular for arenas now. Unless the health pool scales with player’s, that is.
It wasn’t banned in BFA, I only started arena on my Rogue in 8.3 and saw it happen multiple times to the point where my partner and I would just focus on the shaman because we felt their partner wasn’t an option with that totem
the ankh totem worked in every bfa patch in arena. this one here is the pod ability from nightfae as someone already posted. you have 9 seconds to kill it (13.7k hp) else he resses at like 30 or 40% at 10 seconds.
There are classes in game which can CC chain another player for a considerable amount of time. It might not be 10 seconds, but it doesn’t need to be that long.
Killing it might prove especially troublesome if a member of the opposing team has to seek cover so as to avoid dying himself, instead of killing the plant.
1v1 situations are not rare in arenas, either, at which point killing such flower can be incredibly difficult, as that effectively adds 13k health to the enemy health pool in a situation where every little bit of health matters. What’s worse, it’s 13k health that you only have 10 seconds to take care of, while getting CCd, silenced and attacked by the enemy player.
I just know that if such ability existed back when I took PvP seriously, it would’ve cost me an absolute buttload of arena wins.
