Why should a necromancer whose constantly in contact with unholy magic, undead and other foul things would be able to resurrect allies? I get it, the targets that get ressed get “Lingering essence” debuff or whatever its called that makes them look like ghosts but it still makes no sense to me that a necromancer would be able to ress you just like a druid or any other healer that uses holy and nature magic, the Wotlk version of resurrection was fun and added flavour to the spell.
DKs could get their version of Battle shout to compensate for it just like the old days. What do you guys think?
Combat ress is one of the important utilities and the warriors already have a shouts. So no thanks.
are you actually asking why a necromancer class should be able to raise the dead?
I am saying that a necromancer would raise a dead in a zombie form instead of the normal looking character
Don’t try to find any logic in this game, there is none. Warriors can shout so loud that players are healed for 15% of maximum health.
Originally, it would raise you as a ghost and you would have an entirely new moveset while a ghost.
It also was useable as a DPS CD as the player ghost had a limited time to attack.
It was later changed to be more inline with druid and warlock Rez.
