Ret facts.. avoid if you're a ret

Okay, first of all, I’m not a retribution paladin and have not q’d since I lost 90 cr in one sitting after the reroll and facing rets in nearly every game however instead I have watched alot of streamers.

I’m going to show you the thoughts of some of the top WoW PVP streamers who do this thing for a job, these streamers are Trillebartom, Lontar & Venruki.

I’m an avid watcher of Trille and he is extremely respected in the WoW community for his many achievements. He is a multi-classer, multi rank 1 going back over a decade. On his streams lately he has been getting every spec to 2.4 and so far he has accomplished 2.4 on over 80% of all specs (not just classes… specs).

Today & yesterday after playing solo shuffles on his Retribution paladin, Trille achieved 2.4 after 13 solo shuffles, he lost 1 shuffle which was against other rets. He ended on 3.2k mmr. Ontop of that he refused to play abilities. Sanc, Spellwarding and lay on hands on any of the 13 solo shuffles. Here are his thoughts:

"Disgustingly broken, and it’s not even fair to compare this to asass level of brokeness, this is wayyyyy more broken what you should compare this to is season 5 deathknight, it’s completly absurd how good it is, it’s not even good, it’s just broken. It’s broken, absoloutly broken, it’s not even fair at all, it’s the god class, nothing should lose to ret right now, it’s completly and utterly broken."

Later on Melan (rank 1 dh) asks Trille why he isn’t play ret. Trille having already completed his 2.4 challenge on ret is now playing Dev evoker and has lost his first two solo’s 2-4 with ret pally’s winning both 6-0.

Trille: ***“How come you’re not playing ret?” Yo whaddup Melan. Uhh you want to know my ret story? … I logged on Ret paladin, made some binds, copied Vanguards build, haven’t played it since last expansion, played 10 games of 3v3 then I played solo shuffle. ***
I did 13 lobbies until I reached 2.4… the fastest i’ve ever done. I reached 3200 MMR and I also want to point out… I didn’t bind blessing of sanc, I didn’t bind lay on hands and I didn’t bind magic bubble, I never used them a single time in every single game. If you watched the vod you’ll see I didn’t press them a single time and it didn’t matter I was at 3.2k.
I think it’s a perfect example of Ret paladin being absoloutly super super super broken I haven’t seen anything this broken since S5 Death Knights I think. ***
I’m telling you guys if you get rating with ret paladin right now you’re literally playing Counter strike with wall hack and aim bot at the same time and i’m talking like latest update, completely obvious… super cheating. If you lose as like a ret paladin because you’re getting outplayed, it doesn’t matter you still won’t lose do you know what I mean? They’re just broken as F.

He has no reason to biased against rets. He has been extremely happy with the direction Dragon Flight has gone in recently and has praised it a few times.

Ok, next streamer! Lontar. Absolute god at the game. Multi-rank 1 on every single healer, also plays WoW for a living and has no reason to be biased towards any one spec. Here are his thoughts.
"It is a joke man… like I just don’t wanna play WoW, I really don’t wanna play WoW the way ret is right now like every game is a ret and everyone is abusing ret because otherwise they wouldn’t pass 1.9k rating, it is so cringe. Like it is so F** cringe, 2s is bad, 3s is bad, shuffles is bad".***

Next person… Venruki. Really nice guy, has previously won Blizzcon… multi-rank 1 player, extremely talented. He was qing some 3s with 2 other rank 1s… Dylbar (20ish? rank 1 sham) & Nesper (15ish rank 1 rogue)? and they were struggling at 2k CR. Here is him really struggling, also wanting to play another game…
"WW/Outlaw beating rets? Yeah… just triple rank 1, I’ve got rank 1 on wind walker 7 times, Dylbar has got rank 1 on Shaman 20 times, Nessper has got rank 1 on rogue 15 times… struggling at 2k rating vs the rets. Nice duuude."

A little later on after q’ing a few more ven is visibly bothered…
"Yeah I think i’m going to play some Diablo to, are the servers stable now? Have any of you guys been playing? I don’t wan, I don’t want to be t-… I actually don’t want to be toxic, i’m just cheesed man. I don’t know… I just can’t believe it. I can’t believe it.

Okay, so now the real question is. Why has this still not been fixed? It has been 48 hours and we are still not able to q arenas without facing double rets in every game and knowing full well its a loss every game.

I feel that there is no other way but for an immediate nerf hell, maybe just revert the changes to paladin and fix it for 10.1?

The other option is an immediate nerf and revert the CR to what it was at during 10.0.5 for all ret paladins. I feel extremely sorry for all those rets who actually main ret because what good is this season, they will not have achieved anything because a FOTM reroller 1.9 cr player can just get 3k easily and push for rank 1? It’s just a joke.

Blizzard we all pay a subscription fee for this game and it really feels like you don’t care about us or the PVP scene as a whole.

(yes I am available to be a typist, cheers). Says alot when i’d rather type all this rather then play WoW!

The only thing they care about is how much money the pvp scene can create them. They provid that. Again it was absolutely broken on PTR, ppl pointed it out. It just went live anyway.

They just want money from boost buyer and token buyer. I ask a level booster once on my server. He said it’s 500k just to hit 60. So you see, that what it’s all about. Evidence is there, just the question, what now?

Feel like they have us by the balls. You can’t even ask for mass sub cancel. Because the majority would not participate anyway. So they would still make more money from boost/token.

Blizzard won’t nerf it …
I’m sure they think they are happy with their job because everyone that is playing is a ret so they are so dumb to think community is actually enjoying it

Not for me. I’ll just sit this one out and watch streamers play instead… the few that still play!

I’m sticking to my SV hunter… love it too much and whenever I play an alt I just miss it and go back to it anyway

I’ve stopped playing rated though, not a single game since patch day

I made a thread on this matter but I think there’s an absolute lack of integrity among the team when they make a spec this blatantly OP then just release it like that, and refuse to hotfix it as well. Like yes the PvP scene is smaller but think about it, a lot of long term WoW players are PvP’ers… PvP’ers are very loyal to the game, and look how they treat us.

Heres some actusl stats: their representation quadrupled to 16%. Their hps and dps went up. Their winrate in shuffle went up to 63% ( next highest is bm at 52%)…
Winrate may actually go down…because there are now so many rets queuing its going to make them beat each other

I’ve started reporting all these ret spam threads, I recommend other pallies do the same. Keep it to one thread and stop spamming the exact same topic over and over when there are many threads on the topic already.

I’m providing Rank 1 players thoughts on the current game. There is no spam threads… this is the truth of how they feel. They get paid to play the game and even they don’t want to play the game lmao

I respect trill, I dont respect Venruki couz hes a well known bias person. If he looses its mostly due to something being broken.

Sure, hes right that ret is broken. But I rarely ever care when he whines since he does it way too often unless hes one shotting ppl or doing extremely high dmg himself. Then hes perfectly normal.

Yea I mean, ret is broken, I havent even abused the situation like alot of rets have done. But damn, im being bashed for not even doing that just couz im a ret currently on the forum. The toxicity lvl has increased due to blizzard being silent and allowed ppl to say whatever.
I did believe we had community managers to actually deal with things like this but, I rarely see them.

Having a discussion is fine, arguing is fine. But namecallings and cut context just feels funny to me.
